There are other medical supply companies out there. Do a search call them as long as they take your insurance or private pay ask about switching. That is what I did. I am saving 150$ a month. Oh and don't forget to ask if they are an adapt health company stay away keep looking. Best of luck to you.

INCOMPETENT!! I have had the unpleasant experience of dealing with this Adapt/Family Medical Supply company since April; three months later I'm still having to fix the issues their internal errors and mishandling of my medical information have caused. Because they took so long to fulfill my prescription and insurance authorization for equipment I was told that it "timed out/was dropped in their system", upon talking to my insurance company they conveyed Adapt never sent the "medical necessity" forms requested numerous times to maintain the prescription and initial authorization. After phoning weekly for two months, I was suddenly told, "I don't see your name for equipment in our system" Turns out they lost my paper work and said I had to make calls to my sleep clinic and primary doctor to expedite paper work back into their system and to my insurance directly to ensure a speedy authorization back into their system. After I made the calls and had the paperwork resubmitted, Adapt still took two weeks to process the paper work. In the mean time, I was told a store was holding my Cpap and as soon as my insurance authorization appeared in their system I could schedule my fitting. I didn't hear from them so of course another phone call 5 days later to the store now to see if they had received my insurance authorization, they hadn't, and they no longer had the device. Adapt hadn't told them to hold it even though they told me they had. So here I am back to the drawing board looking in the system for a Cpap that doesn't require me dealing with the Adapt / Family Medical Supply. HORRIBLE COMPANY, INCOMPETENT, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

The absolutely worst company I have ever delt with and I am stunned that the are in business. I needed a new cpap machine and supplies. It's been a nightmare. And the employees lie constantly , the last guy I felt with not only lied, he was aggressive and rude. They all tell different stores and the story constantly changes. Whatever you need, it's best to find a better company.

I have been trying for 4 weeks to get my portable concentrator repaired through AdaptHealth. It keeps shutting off, probably due to a dirty internal filter. Everyone you talk to is very nice and promised that someone will come "today" and pick it up. No one ever comes and np phone calls. The last time I spoke with a CSR she sent me to a store in Kannapolis after she had allegedly spoken with someone there and they gave her instructions on what I needed to bring. When I got to the store I was told they didn't speak to anyone about my problem and that they did not repair said item. The manager and associate were very nice. The manager was allegedly on the phone with his boss and came out and told me a tech would come to my house the next day and repair in my home. He sent me off with 4 huge tanks of oxygen, in case of emergency, I use a walker and there is know way I can use these tanks, unless i am bedridden. Next day, of course, no one showed up. Called customer service, was told that store does not service my area. I asked if there was another store I could take it to and low and behold I was directed back to the same store and one in Lexington that is no longer a public store. I was then told I would have to wait until a loaner unit was available before my unit could be picked up. Then was told it could be a long time because the loaners were often out of stock. I like to be out and about, not stuck in the house due to not having the portable oxygen concentrator.

Horrible company. Company continued to charge me after equipment was fully paid by insurance and self. Double billed $1300 and refused to correct. Wrote to senior management and got no response. Company continues to bill for paid-off equipment 10 months after it was fully paid. Delivery is slower than it was in the early 1900's. Customer service is horrible...foreign call center with reps who are totally uninformed about company systems and have a lot of difficulty understanding customer issues and language. Cant imagine there is a worse DME company. Run dont walk away from Adapt.

I been needing tires on my wheelchair since around may of 2021 I called let service know about it so they would have to send tech out to look at and tell you my wheel locks on my wheelchair wasn’t working due to the tires being so worn down but the tech kept telling me on multiple visit my tires were good and just adjust the breaks than towards end of 2021 I just had them send me a different tech out instead of same tech they kept sending me this time he agreed with me I needed tires and this was November 2021 when I got some to agree with me. Well fast forward to to January 2022 I send email regarding the tires they told me that they waiting on paper work. So since May of 2021 I been falling out of my wheelchair due to the fact I can’t keep my wheelchair still enough to let me transfer keep in mind when I’m transferring from wheelchair to car once that wheel moves a lot of times I’m hitting ground hard a lot of times I fall flat on my butt but there are times when I fall on my face or backwards hitting my heads on the ground. So now it’s may 17th 2022 my copay deal I had with them expired in April or March but instead of letting me know that it was expiring and we could just get started with paper work earlier they decide to tell me and end of April and I don’t understand why the same paper work I sent in last yr is such a problem this year. I’ve come to conclusion that this company does not care about my safety what so ever they can apologize all they want but they didn’t listen to me the first time a yr ago when I brought up the issue. Instead I’ve had over a yr of consistently falling out of my chair every time I have to transfer from wheel chair to bed to shower and to car. But yesterday I fell out transferring in a Walmart parking lot I took a picture of the wounds I have on my face and emailed them the picture they didn’t care enough to even respond. But I get it now you don’t wanna help that’s ok I’ve figured that out now if I can post pictures on here I would of my scuffed up wounded face

This has to be one of the heartless companies. When they took over in December they went back over one year with collecting on any payments owed to the previous company. Pay or don't get your oxygen supplies, no one will come and check out the mold in your compressor, and forget about the CPAP machine your doctor ordered 8 months ago. Pay up the $71 you owe us or forget about any service. I had my account set up for direct pay. But, my debit card information was taken and my bank closed the account. At about the same time billing was consolidated in Charlotte and my payments were going by bank check to the wrong address. They bought Aerocare for $2 Billion dollars but would let me die for a past due amount from a year ago under $100. I have insurance so United Healthcare was paying them for this pitiful excuse for patient care. Welcome adapthealth! Your stockholders would be proud.

This is the worst DME company I have ever dealt with. Over a span of 2 1/2 months they jerked me around with promises of call backs and scheduling, none of which happened. I finally gave up, found another DME provider, and had my CPAP within a week.
