Bought a 26lb patio umbrella stand two weeks ago but found it too light for my 10ft patio. Tried to return but store manager said that it had been used and has scratches! How would I know it is too light unless I have tried it on patio! This store’s return policy sucks! No more buying from here!

After writing I'd never do it again... I did. Wanted to buy a piece of acrylic, the Ace website showed the Lewisville TX store had in stock the size I wanted. I drove 40 minutes to get there. I go in, tell the clerk what I needed, he did not have a clue where it was. A second guy comes out and tells me I need to "go to a competitor". They did not want to help me. So I go the Lowes and less than 10 minutes I have the acrylic, I wanted the Ace material because it was just a bit thicker, but the Lowes will do. Ace - you folks ready need to get your act together, this country dork attitude just doesn't cut it anymore.

I was excited to buy a zero turn mower, very helpful with selling it, after using it the first time, bolts feel off to the seat, and I fixed it, the second time using it another bolt feel off off under the seat holding a part, and I was able to fix it with help from my neighbor who both time saw/found the parts, the 3 rd time nothing happened, then the 4th time I used it the deck fell.... wasn't able to find pin and washer so had to go buy pin for a "brand new mower", keep in mind the reason I bought this mower is so I didn't have to keep fixing my old one, after about $3,300 you don't think you would have to fix a brand new mower, so I call Covington ace and after dealing with those knuckle heads for almost 2 weeks and showing the guy who picked it up and drop it off the same way they got it, " with missing parts" they said well nothing wrong here go, I show the delivery guy the missing parts and he was like hhhm,dang. Yea, unhappy, and want to return it for my money back, makes me skeptical of what's to come... all in all they said nothing wrong with it so we can't return it, I've fixed it so I could cut the dang grass... then the lady called me and said they all talked and they can't take it, said she also turns wrenches... currently dealing with corporate......won't be buying anything else for ace, and will not recommend anyone to y'all, and know several who will be canceling accounts.

Since Ace took over the hardware store in Iowa Park, Texas I've been there twice. First time to get a common electrical junction box. Didn't have it. Yesterday I went in to get a pipe to garden hose adapter. Girl didn't know what I was talking about. She went and got another young person, a guy who told me they didn't have it but the could order one made of pvc. I told him I wanted a metal one for a small water heater on my patio. I'm done. I'll just drive about 10 miles to Wichita Falls and get my hardware. Save time and aggravation.

Never a Stihl associate when you need them. I’ve been to the E&H ace hardware in Delaware Ohio at least 5 times for different reasons but no one with any knowledge about Stihl products are ever there. I work though the week so I can only make it to Ace after work (4-6pm). The store is open till 8 but apparently Ace hardware only keeps there Stihl techs there till 3:30-4. Weak as F

The store in Tucsons Arizona on W. Grant is absolutely fantastic. The customer service is amazing. Everytime I go in it feels lake like I am in a Mayberry Andy Griffith town. Very welcoming

BEWARE ACE returns! Ace lost this customer. Ace return is 30 days store credit less shipping etc fees. OK, fine. The item ($230) went on sale 7 days later at $50 less. Ace Chester NJ refused to give me the difference in price or do a return at old price and purchase at sale price. ACE will not work with you on this ...which is something universally done by other stores: Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, etc. Lesson learned, ACE is off my list of stores for big $$$ purchases. BEWARE!!!

Bought a grill from Great Lakes Ace Hardware in Grand Rapids MI. Delivers were supposed to call prior to delivery but they did not. They left the grill in an obscure place, caused us to search the neighborhood for hours thinking someone had taken the grill after delivery. Manager at the store said "Sorry" but did not offer compensation or understanding. We will never shop at Great Lakes Ace Hardware again. Super poor customer service!
