Ace HardwareReviews of acehardware.com

Had a pretty solid experience here yesterday (store in South Beach). First time buying anything of this sort (a door knob) and didn't know what I didn't know about 'em until a guy (forget his name) offered to help and walked me through my options. Different types for different needs, which one is easy to break into with a credit card vs which one is more secure. I love learning and feeling self-sufficient, so I'm happy to be walked through options in a non-condescending way so I can make educated decisions. highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I just purchased two camping chairs that we saw were on sale at ACE hardware. We went to the Port Jefferson Station , NY store. At the register we asked if there offer a military discount. The sales associat went to ask his manager and came back and told us not on sale items. I just had to express myself because I cant believe that is the policy at ACE hardware. My boyfriend was insulted and will not return to ACE again, He served 20 years in the U.S Navy and was deployed all over the world. An extra 10% on a Beach Chair will not kill sales on 4th of July weekend! In fact it might increase them.

I came in to my local store to purchase a replacement fuse for an amplifier that failed on my recently. I knew that particular amplifier needed a specific high-tension fuse and that's what I asked for. The clerk who helped me ended up selling me time-delay fuses, not high tension, and proceeded to tell me that I was wrong about what the markings on my fuse meant. When I brought up that the fuses she'd given me had different designation markings she said "different brands do that". As a gigging musician and professional sound engineer of almost 10 years, I don't appreciate being talked down to and lied to by customer service when I know exactly what I'm looking for. I would have preferred she told me the truth, which is that while Ace hardware has a good selection of the correct size, amperage, and voltage fuse, they didn't carry high tension version that I needed. I humored her, bought the time-delay fuses, and brought them back then next day to show how they'd been vaporized immediately. I was brushed off and the first clerk's mistake was not refunded.

the paint i bought from your store in colorado really livened up my kitchen!!! although the smell gave me bad headaches for days but the paint is great

Easy to order. My package came on time and in good conditions. 5 stars.

Love this store. Only reason the item is being returned is because decided on a larger screen TV. Returning 28 inch for a 32 inch.

Fast shipping and reliable product. Will order again.
