Horrible bank,very poor customer service, rude as hell over the phone.i got a new charge card from academy sport. I charge 22.xx when getting the card. I paid it via my bank electrocially. Comenity said they never received the payment, so the next (following) month, I get a higher bill with late fee and interest added. I paid, and I mailed it (requested comenity to close the account). Been two weeks now: my check not cashed and no word from their customer service. It appears they are trying to eat me up with bogus late fees and interest. As noted this is for an initial $22.xx charge.

I accepted an offer from ULTA to get an in-store credit card called Ultamate Rewards Credit Card that could only be used for ULTA purchases and earn reward points. What I got was an Ultamate Rewards Mastercard with Comenity Bank. That was sleazy of Comenity Bank to issue a Mastercard when all I wanted was a store credit card. ULTA says they have no control over which card Comenity Bank issues. I called Comenity and thought I was speaking to someone in Thailand or Nigeria. We all know what those scams are. I don't think the person could speak English and I hung up without giving any further info. I did manage to pay my $47.60 using easy pay on their website. Let's see if their billing transaction goes without a hitch. I will cancel the card as soon as I see the transaction went through with my bank. The billing statement looks like a pre-schooler designed it. My greatest fear now is with their data security. Who knows where my name, IP address, and Social Security number will go. I'll have to keep checking my credit reports now and may even buy an ID Theft tracking program.

If there was a zero that is what I would rate this company. Why the NFL left Barclays to this company I will never know but many people did not do their due diligence. This is the worst credit card company I have ever encountered, there is always an issue, website has been under construction since the NFL moved from Barclays to them. I login one month to make my payment and they could not take it days later that same message remained. I’m done with this I hate closing a credit card because it does effect your credit rating but this company is questionable at best.

This is so bad I wonder if it is a scam I ended up with a Comenity credit card when I bought some items from Wayfairer at the beginning of the lockdown. I needed the items to fix up my home office. About 2 months ago, I noticed fraud on my card (less than $100). It took we about three weeks to be able to get someone at Comenity to look at it. The website was useless and every time I called and went through an extensive phone tree only to be told after about 5 minutes of prompts that no one was available and call back later. I wrote the company requesting they fix the fraud and cancel my account. Eventually I was able to speak with someone who reversed the fraudulent charges. This month I received a bill showing the fraud reversed but hitting me with a late fee for not paying the charges the bill shows as reversed. I have not been able to speak with a person and they have not canceled my account apparently. Save yourself the trouble. Find another credit card company.

I ordered items from Brylan, never received them. Now they are reporting me as 120 days late even though I've sent documents 4 times proving I'd never received the items ordered. I've called, begged, cried, even angry. They sent me a link that does not work. So, I downloaded everything asked, printed and sent. Mind you, 4 times, not just once. They have lied to me over and over. All while ruining my credit that I've worked so hard to obtain after a nasty divorce and a hurricane.

Since being purchased by Comenity, they had a bunch of down time. I paid off most of my balance and it took forever to post to my account. That was about a month and a half ago. They didn’t report my new low balance to the credit bureaus last month (at the end of the billing cycle) and when I contacted them about it, they told me to contact the bureaus. And they have no phone app to monitor their accounts. What a step backwards. Won’t be using this card except for maybe one minimal purchase a month to keep it open as it’s one of my older accounts

They are fraudulent! I used my Rue21 card once for 18.09 paid off my balance over the automated system that I tried to get through to for 9 days once I finally did I was able to pay my bill in full. Received my statement and it said Thank You for your payment then 10 or so days later I got a letter stating I owed 38.00 even! For What! I was not late I paid my bill off! So I called waited 3 hours to get to a actual person who told me my check was returned because my account was frozen! Never had a frozen bank account went and got the proof and yet still have not heard back even sent my proof certified mail so I knew they couldn't say they did not receive it! They are stealing from all of us do not bank with them! Something fishy is going on with this company! By reading the other reviews I'm not the only one!

Don't do it! I had the worst experience with their sephora credit card. Their system has been updating for 6 months now. I got charged twice for a one time bill payment and they won't reverse the late fees, mind you I've never been late on any payments so I decided to close my account and pay the bill off in full...I'm done with this company..not to mention none of their representatives speak english..smh
