Late Fees and Minimum Interest charged for an electronic transfer error with NO contact
I recently opened a Carters card card through ComenityBank. I made a small purchase and made the payment for the full $6.04 account balance as soon as the charge posted, nearly three weeks before the due date. The payment was made as an electronic debit to my checking account. Comenity sent an email confirmation that the payment had been scheduled. Today Dec 1, a new statement has generated showing a past due balance of $6.04, a late fee of $6.04 and a $2.00 minimum interest charge. Visting my online account, there is a note "there is a problem with XYZ bank". The item was NEVER presented to the bank. The representative could not tell me what the bank problem was, only that I was responsible for fees and minimum interest. I assume there was an EFT error. After, insisting the interest and late charges were removed. The agent was polite. But this should have never happened. Comenity has my mail, phone number and address. An autogenerated email saying there was a problem with your payment, please contact us could have easily been sent. I feel intentionally slammed and poorly serviced. The one star is for the polite service agent.

FRAUD
That is correct.. complete fraud. I originally opened an account with IKEA because of the large amount of money I was about to invest in my home, I thought it would be best if I just paid it off little by little without finance charges. IKEA has this credit card that allows you to pay monthly without finance charges for a period of 12months or more. I then applied for the cards the same moment that I was purchasing my merch on the IKEA website. When I was getting to the part of payment, I selected the promo financing of 12 month no interest. Now, after making my 1st payment which was almost 50% of my balance, Comenity tells me that I have incurred finance charges. I called them the moment I saw this on my statement and they literally said there is nothing they can do because they do not recognize that my order was placed in with a promo. I explained to them in detail the timeline of occurrences and they agreed that it was correct that I wouldn't see any information until I received my notification until today (11/29) and they basically said there is nothing they can do for me. I asked for them to reverse the finance charges and I would pay the full amount to get rid of the balance and not deal with this and they refused. I called IKEA for help and they also refused to help. It's not like I didn't have the money to pay, I just thought it would be nice to pay it in 12 months rather than all in one lump sum. The reason I say this is a fraud, is because, they did not honor the fact that I selected the promotion payment plan that was selected on my checkout window. They basically did what ever it took for them to take whatever money they can get out of the consumer. Even if it is just $18,22...

Comenity Bank it’s not long for the end
I have tried since the middle of September to have a credit card sent to me after AAA changed from Bank of America to this flaky company. When I come here and they are on their fifth try to get it to me it’s been two weeks and it has not showed up. They can keep their credit card and stick it wherever they want. I will not do business with a flaky company like this.

Scam using hidden late fees…
Used the credit card for some shirts and a hat through buckle, paid off the shirts, bought hat later, was late by 4 days on hat, paid off the 35$ hat, wasn't told of a late fee, Comenity harrased me for a month calling multiple times a day, finally looked and saw I owed nearly 60$, called and told if I paid off the 35$ late fee they reimburse the other, now im being harrased for another 60$, the other wasn't reimbursed, awful bank, shouldn't exist, deactivating this card when I get out of work

Avoid commenity if you value your credit
If I could give negative stars I would. I have sephora and ulta cards and I have always paid on time and the full statement balance. Around May 2022 commenity stopped reporting to credit bureaus and here we are in November and its still showing my cards as maxed when they are always paid in full and currently at $0. I saw many others with this problem and its affecting our credit scores and credit usage. I filed a complaint with CFPB and Commenity contacted me saying yes we stopped reporting due to a system update and will be reporting in possibly two billing cycles. Right after that, I got a letter from commenity saying they lowered my Sephora credit card from $500 to $100 due to credit score drop and high credit usage. This is a super shady company and I would seriously avoid any credit card with commenity. I have done the right thing to build credit and have been punished with hurt credit! I shop at ulta and sephora a lot and wanted to build credit while doing so. Its completely unsettling that they would allow this to go on for so long, hurting peoples credit which is so important today, Then the cherry on top is lowering my credit amount when Ive been a great customer! Very untrustworthy bank.

Extremely POOR Customer Service Part 2 at the end
BOA sold my AAA account to this company....I have never gotten a statement from them, nor can I access the website due to IT troubles, I was told I can pay over the phone, free...but I know that it's not true....
CSR is a horrible joke, they need training.....Since Oct 17th, I have talked with 13 service reps and 4 "Senior Accounts Reps"...they do not have call reference numbers for the calls, the date and time is considered to be the reference number, so write that information down.....CSR's are supposed to give you their employee id when requested.....when they don't, I tell them that I know that this is not the truth as Senior Accts Reps, Robin, Kendra, Danielle, and Omar have all told me that the CSR's are supposed to give you their ID upon request.....when transferring, if you get "dead air" you are NOT being transferred, they have muted you and placed you on hold, then you will be royally cut off....I have told them that I was an operator with 30+ years of service and I know the difference....I do report them to the Senior Reps and tell them that this is WHY the bank has such poor reviews and that they are losing customers....their CSR's need training....and need it desperately.....I have had AAA with BOA for over 10 years and intend on paying this account off within the week....I never had this type of poor customer service with BOA and it's very hard to even imagine Comenity Capital Bank will be a good company to keep.....their CSR's give a very poor reflection of what this company is supposed to be.....if you are told that they will expedite/overnight a credit card....don't believe it.....Per Robin, she said they were told not to overnight due to systems being back logged....a different CSR sent my husband 2 cards in his name, I'm still waiting on my card and on a statement.....REPORT the CSR's....Today is November 9, 2022.....I got "Tas" on the line...spell it for me please...."uh, T-A-D" with a question in his voice....yeah...well Tad, I need the physical mailing address in Carrollton to FedEx my payment to.....did not know what I was talking about and put me on Hold....their usual procedure when they don't know the answer, refuse to get a Senior Accts Rep, or don't want to help....I next get Fernando who actually knew what I was talking about.....If you need to pay off/on your account.....their mailing address is
POB 650967, Dallas, Texas, 75265-0967....
My credit union "strongly suggested" I get their physical address and FedEx it there...that address is

Don't walk RUN from this company
Don't walk RUN from this company! Worse Credit card company ever! My Christopher Banks card changed to a Comenity Bank MC. Offer that came with it was 90 days from activation spend $500 receive $100 bonus offer. I called and confirmed two different times that I had this card for awhile but never activated is this offer still good. Both times I was told yes. Now that I have my first statement I have called for two weeks talking to 15 plus employee a different story with each one. Just to name a few we didn't have that offer, We had a system update in July not everything is showing, to no you don't get that offer. Today I will be opening a case with the BBB plus will file consumer complaints with other sites
