I am an African American veteran that has purchased from 1800 contacts for years and always request military discount and it has never been a problem until I spoke with a customer service representative name lian. She was extremely rude. Repeatedly interrupted me when I tried to ask questions and then told me she was going to hang up the phone and that’s exactly what she did. She also was very racist when she verified my name which is of African descent. She deliberately mispronounced my name. This encounter has violated my trust of this company

Super expensive. Not at all worth the money. $45 for 1 pair! Will never order from here again

Ordering with them and using insurance is a nightmare - they're very disorganized and inconsistent with billing and will not rectify their mistakes or admit to making them in the first place. I used this service because they promised me a new customer discount and the use of my insurance, but were able to apply neither and I was charged to the point of overdraft in my account. I saved all of my receipts, invoices and chat transcripts to prove this but it doesn't matter - they know people are overworked and overtired and don't have time to make sure these mistakes are resolved so they scam you out of a couple hundred bucks at the expense of losing a customer for life.

First time customer, got the wrong prescription, may be my fault, maybe theirs. Called for an exchange and was charged a second time. Called to ask why, got an apology and told it would be 10 days for the money to go back into my account. Got a call saying they couldnt verify my prescription info, which was my fault, but when I got it figured out they charged me a third time for 1 box of contacts. Called again to ask why was given the ol "sorry oops, it will be back in your account in 10 business days". So now I am out over $500 for 10 days and rent is coming due.

I went to re-order contacts since they have sent me 7000 emails every single day saying that I need to re-order as soon as I push re-order they send me a message saying I can’t order but they are going to take my money and now I have to send in a renewed prescription for the same contacts that I have ordered 16 times from them without any hesitation but now that you have my money in your pocket, you demand something that I don’t have that is bad business you’re taking peoples money and being dishonest I hate your company now I’ve used it so many times and now I hate you

I recently ordered contacts from 1-800 Contacts. After placing the order, I found another online site had them for less, so I contacted 1-800 Contacts (the same day) and asked for a refund, as I was planning to order them from the other company. Upon contacting them, I was told that they would match the price. Cool. The price match would have resulted in a $40 refund, which I was told was issued that day. It never came. I reached out a few weeks later and was told that the refund would post any day. One month later, I reach out for the *third* time and was told that the processing department refused to issue the refund. I have four contact wearers in my family--their misrepresentation immediately lost their company four customers. Perhaps the $40 was worth it for them.

Placed an order for new contacts . W/ the new prescription. Been checking the mail everyday cause I really need them .got a email yesterday saying my ordered was cancelled. I emailed them back & they said they never received the prescription .that's why my order got cancelled. Bull crap! Cause it won't let you finalize your order & pay until a prescription is uploaded. They kepted my $ & cancelled my order. Scammers 1800contacts asked 4 more details. Or else my post will be taken down. Ordered contacts , paid 4 them . Waited. Then got a email stating my order was canceled. I didn't cancel. Said it got canceled cause I didn't submit the prescription. Bull. And they kepted my $ Thanks

I placed an order (1/17/2023) and used a price match, which the phone agent verified. The order was eligible for a $200 rebate. I asked the agent specifically if this order would qualify for the rebate given the identity of the price match company (Sam's Club), as the prior year I was told weeks after the fact that the rebate they PROMISED could not be paid because the price match was with an ineligible company (their mistake, not mine). Because I got burned before I asked SPECIFICALLY if there would be any problem this time, and I was told there was no problem at all; I would be eligible for the rebate with the price match company I used. I even described the previous event and was assured it would not happen on this transaction. BUT IT DID - weeks later (after I followed up) I was told the same thing as the prior year; I was not eligible for the rebate because of the price match company I used. They have admitted that their phone agent was wrong, but refuse to do the right thing and honor what I was told. They have offered a credit, which I do not want because I do not ever want to do business with this company again. I was a loyal 1800CONTACTS customer for many years, but no more. They have become dishonest, impersonal scam artists.
