I went to order my contacts and the website said get 2-3 day shipping for $9.99. And the normal $14.99 was crossed out. It told me free shipping would be here October 27th. So I chose the 2-3 day shipping and it would not give me the discount. How convenient. So I started a live chat and Katie told me she would help me and give me the expedited shipping for only $8. I was very happy and thanked her and then she told me my order should arrive on October 27th. What?!?!?! So I asked her why that was and she said because they need to verify my prescription and that takes a few days and then with the weekend another few days. Funny I thought I was getting a discount when in reality I was actually paying more. I used to love ordering from 1-800 Contacts but from now on I will go to Walmart.

Very difficult to write review because until this last issue service has been outstanding, I returned lenses for a different brand and 1800 was wonderful. BUT they processed the lenses as an exchange instead of a return and rebuy. Then they claim I was not eligible for the rebate because it was a $0 purchase. 1800 should have processed the return properly. THIS IS THEIR BUSINESS. So I have to return the lenses for a refund then repurchase the lenses....and I get a significant rebate. So stupid.

First time ordering. Put in the prescription for the exact pair of monthly contacts I needed. Was prompted to upload prescription, did that. Uploaded exact contacts as well, as I had to go to my eye doctor to obtain multiple trial pairs the original prescription was not what I actually needed. 1800contacts made me jump through multiple hoops including setting up a laptop to take their exam that literally has 3 sets of letters and then denied it. Trying to make me take your exam over the qualified eye doctor I already went to seems ridiculous and a waste of my time. In the end I had to call just so they could call my eye doctor who told them the contacts I needed....which were the exact pair I entered in the order AND sent an image of with the original prescription.

I ordered this same prescription in Jan, so I thought you would have it on file, but had to contact the optometrist. So the order took a lot longer. If I’d known that, I would have used another company to receive a “first order” discount.

Over priced. I used to think 1-800 Contacts was a less expensive route to go for contacts, but it is not. I spent over $165 dollars for one box of each of the contacts I needed. Just ridiculous. I will be shopping around in the future.

I’ve used this service for several years. They used to be on it! I know they aren’t responsible for the shipping times, but you don’t get what you pay for especially expedited. Recently, they never arrived. Just placed another order on the 24th, they arrived in my area and got shipped back to Texas not Nevada. When I messaged to inquire, they said “sorry, but for $1300 more, we can add 7 more boxes to your order! Let’s get this done, shall I process the card ending in xxxx?” Really? Unfortunately, it has become unreliable as far as when you’re going to get them. I may have to just order from my doctors office as they use a different carrier.

The customer service person really didn’t know pricing and how to order the product I was looking for. Had to speak with a supervisor.

Don’t bother paying for expedited shipping. If the estimated delivery date when you order is tomorrow or the next day, expect it to be delivered no sooner than 4 days after ordering. Might as well do the default shipping at that point. Customer service is responsive and kind, pricing and overall offering is good. I’m very disappointed though, because I chatted with customer service as soon as I ordered and followed up the morning after I ordered to make sure I could receive the contacts on the original expedited shipping date. But now the estimated delivery is two days after the original date. Which leaves me in visual predicament. Really my disappointment comes from hoping 1800 contacts would bail me out of a bad situation (glasses broke before travel) and they weren’t able to come through….
