I used to LOVE 1800 contacts. i had been using them since I was about 15 years old so roughly 15 years. They used to be the lowest priced and they had the best customer service. However, when I went this year to get my contacts I used the text chat and let them know I needed my biofinity energy contacts and that I had found a better price. The year before I had used the price match and they handled it accurately and only charged me about 10 dollars more. Well, this year they tried charging me WAY over the priced matched quote of $120. They wanted $188. Since the customer service had always been great and I have been using them 15 years I went ahead and said I wanted to purchase them. The rep came back saying that I needed to update my RX or call my eye doctor and get approved for the hydra glide contacts. I went back over the chat and looked at where I specifically said I needed the Biofinity Energy. A different rep messaged and said that they could help out and get it fixed but it would be $198 plus an additional $14.95 service fee. I told them to cancel all of it. I then had to wait 2 weeks for my money to be put back on my FSA card due to their error. It could have taken longer and taken 30 days. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They lie and are not worth the trouble.

Stay FAR AWAY!!!! They tried to double charge me, gave me fake prices, and made up my quote. When I tried to order the prices were almost double what I was quoted. Called them and they refused to even explain why the price quoted and charged was different. I emailed them asking for a reason for all of this and they wouldn’t even respond. This company has 1 goal, to rip you off and get your credit card information. Funny how even while I was complaining, they kept wanting my credit card number. This place should not be in business. Tell everyone you can to stay away. Putting flyers up at local eye dr offices.

1800 contacts SUCKS. You can’t switch to a different contact brand via them unless you talk to a dr in person. What’s the point of paying for their exam and buying contacts you no longer like from them if that’s how it is? So stupid. And today I spoke to 3 different agents in the chat option who didn’t seem to care about me or my frustrations. I no longer like 1800 contacts. They’re the bare minimum.

Was a good experience because for 1 thing my contacts were lost after arriving at the distribution store, I called them and within minutes the representative I spoke with Tara was so helpful. They shipped a new box of contacts out and I'm very pleased.

This company is deceptive. They over billed my insurance company and they they implied that they where in network with my insurance and they where not; bad business practices.

I ordered 8 boxes of 90-day packs of my daily contact Rx. When I submitted this order and paid, it said I qualified for a $70 rebate and that a link to do this would be sent with the shipping confirmation. I took a screenshot of when the order was submitted, where it confirmed the 90-day packs and the rebate, and I also received email confirmation of this order. I received a shipping confirmation that had the link to the rebate as well. I later received an email stating that my contacts, specifically listing the 90-day packs that I ordered, had arrived. I picked them up and they are 30-day packs. I tried to go on through the link to obtain the rebate that all the communication I had received thus far states I qualify for, and it says that there is no rebate for this order. So, I called customer service. They proceeded to tell me that there is no rebate for the 30-day packs. I told them that I had ordered the 90-day packs and they proceeded to tell me they don’t make 90-day packs for my prescription. At no point through the order process did I receive email or phone communication from them notifying me that I would not be able to get what I ordered, and that the 30-day packs I could get won’t qualify for the rebate I was led to believe by them I would receive. I attempted to express this to the customer service employee and supervisor I spoke to, and they continued to reiterate to me that the 90 packs don’t exist and there therefore isn’t a rebate for the 30 packs I got despite the fact that my ability to grasp those concepts after hearing them say it the first time was not the problem. They told me they could coordinate a return label and refund the product if I don’t want them, which also is not the problem as I’m going to need these to see anyway. The problem is that they failed to provide communication and provided false information to a customer, limiting the customer’s ability to make an informed decision about their purchase. Obviously I wanted them to honor the $70 rebate or refund me that amount due to their shortcomings around this whole situation, but it’s not even about the money. It’s about their total lack of willingness on the phone to take accountability for that and acknowledge they were in the wrong. I offered to show them all the emails I’ve received from them and they were not interested in viewing those - apparently receipts mean nothing. Disappointed - I recommend buying from somewhere with more integrity and more customer service skills and won’t be going through them again.
