The scanner Antenna I bought was a through window type. It was in new condition when I got it. It installed fairly easy. Of course I routed the coax behind plastic and under carpet. It seams to work fine

I am new to scanning and am very happy with my new Whistler TRX-1 Scanner. I had it programmed for 3 counties in my area and have been listening almost non-stop since it arrived. I am sure I will be calling Zip Scanners with any questions and also to learn more about the features of this unit. Very good company and knowledgeable employees.

I rarely do a review as it seems like they are done with extreme emotion....either good or bad......but I felt obligated to write this one because of the customer service that was afforded me by ZipScanners. My buying experience was very easy and the support that Jesse provided to me was truly appreciated. When I first ordered my TRX-1, I had them preprogram the scanner to work in my area. Unfortunately, in my haste, I failed to specify the exact type of scanning I was interested in. A quick phone call back to Jesse and the problem was solved......3 days later, I received a reprogrammed SD chip with all the channels I needed.....no questions asked.......great job ZipScanners and a very big thank you to Jesse.......

Paid for pre-programed whistler 1098. Live in very small county in Texas. Could hear dispatch but not patrol units. Thought maybe I had messed something up during startup and when saving program to EZ Scan. Called for help. Was told they did it right and I must have messed it up. After some research I manually programmed scanner entering frequencies myself. Now works. Wasted money on pre-programming. Not happy after being told that all I would have to do is turn it on and would work.
