Rental Property Manager
Rental Property Manager I needed a rental property manager but had no idea how to find one. I googled "property managers" and found Ziprent. It was very highly rated. I did some research about the company, the owner, license, and "philosophy" of the business. The owner/founder is very transparent. I called Ziprent and explained I had a tenant in mind, but I needed a background check, a lease and probably ongoing management. The associate told me how Ziprent could meet each of my needs and what each would cost. I could opt out any time from the ongoing management, should I decide to. Within a few hours, I received an email from the associate summarizing in writing what we talked about. I signed up the next day and gave them the contact information of my prospective tenant, who immediately sent in her application. There was an issue with the application, and ziprent reached out to the tenant for more information. They could not get hold of her, she was too busy at work. I found out there was a typo with her email address. Ziprent was able to fix this immediately, they were able to contact her. Most companies would take at least several hours/days to fix their database. I feel comfortable calling Ziprent any time I have a question or issue. Most of the time I get someone on the phone, otherwise I leave a message. Very often Ziprent calls me back within a few minutes. This is so much faster than the traditional "in person" property management. Ziprent's quick response is I think their most important asset. Different people may be responding to my various questions, but they are all familiar with my case. Their use of digital apps clearly speeds up the way they conduct their business, e.g., setting up automatic payment methods for rent and/or services rendered. Prior to renting, a photographer goes through the "walk-through" process with the "owner". The pictures show the condition of the rental unit, and what still needs to be done (if any) to make the rental unit up to code. It protects the "owner" since the photos show what the unit looks like prior to rental, and these are kept on file. I am very pleased to have Ziprent as my Rental Property Manager, and I am looking forward to a long amicable relationship.
