I got a new Windows 10 desktop to replaced my 7-year old PC running Windows 7. I had a LOT of documents, photos, videos, music, and software on the old machine. I was very pleased with how Zinstall migrated everything to the new machine. My Microsoft 2010 Office software balked after the migration but Microsoft Support was able to correct it for me. (I still had the original disk and Product Key. There might have been trouble otherwise.) If your new PC comes with a trial version of MS Office and you don't want to keep it, uninstall it before you run Zinstall. The migration started out very slowly, and it looked like it would take two days to complete. But it went much faster as it continued, and it finished in about four hours. I had a few questions, mainly out of curiosity vs. actual issues, so had an email conversation with a Zinstall technician. He was friendly and helpful. I've been through some horrible migrations before. This one went very smoothly and I'm glad I spent the money.

Solid work and good service. I've taken delivery of a new computer and needed to copy my photos and favorites from my laptop to the new beast. Zinstall did the job quickly and efficiently. Support answered my questions promptly via live chat , which was a pleasant experience as well.

Second time i'm using these guys, love them. Good service, good product. Does the job for me, used Windwos 7 to Windows 7 two years ago, used Windows 10 now, worked just as well, so nicely done. Only had to install Mcafee, no problem I have a subscription. Also, tip - they ll give discount on 2nd license, ask them :)

My computer's motherboard died but not the hard drive. I had my IT guy take the old drive out and give it to me in a USB box. I needed a way to restore my programs and emails and files from that to a new computer. Tried several cheaper options, but Zinstall was the only thing that worked - and worked great. Thank you for saving me many hours of grief!

so initially i thought it was a good product. It created the image quickly and boot up was smooth. That is the last thing I can say good about the product and the company. First I followed to the letter the backup and snapshots steps. The image corrupted and then i tried to restore. FAIL I contacted the company for support. Um yeah here are articles that say exactly what I already have and did. Their response. Pay us $99 to fix. Their answer after $99 sorry nothing can be done. What a fraud. update to this review. My comments in quotes The customer is using a very old product (released in 2009 for Windows XP), on a physically corrupted hard drive, which - miraculously - worked fine for almost a year. "The Drive is fine" After the issue that the customer has reported was resolved, the customer was instructed not to use the hard drive, as the issue will happen again. "Not true what was said make snapshots. Did it still failed" The customer has continued to use the corrupted hard drive. "again the HD is not corrupt." So I get the old hard drive and run it again. The system comes back and I immediately create snapshots. The image fails again. So what can I do? Pay more money to be told their product is a crap. no thank you. I will just tell everyone I know to stay away and go with a different solution

Over the years I have migrated about 5 PCs. I usually use LapLink or PCMove, and I've never liked the products. They are clunky, demand my attention throughout the process, slow, and worst of all, at the end, I have a pile of errors to clean up. I used Zinstall for the first time yesterday. After downloading the product on the old and new computer, I only needed to wait while it located both PCs, clicked a few times, and went to bed. I woke up to a completed, error free, transfer. Wonderful. It's worth the extra few dollars.

Tried to copy an external HDD to a new PC. Got an error. Emailed Zinstall and received a reply within 5 minutes telling me I had used the wrong source partition. I decided to copy from old PC to new PC. I was and am still amazed at how easy it was. Only took approx 1 hour to finish copying. Booted new PC and everything was in its right place. All apps worked as they did originally. Nothing was missing. Absolutely fantastic. For an idiot like me who has little IT knowledge, I highly recommend Zinstall to everyone who wants to copy old PC to new PC
