Houses not for sale
Zillow has listings of homes for sale. When you try and get info on them you have to go through a pre approval first but when you do a realtor will touch base about five days later and tell you your choice is either pending, under contract or no longer for sale. This happens over and over in the meantime your credit is taking inquiry hits over and over. It's a bate and switch constantly and that goes for all the other sites too out there. You receive phone calls from India first. What gives these sites permission to falsely list real estate that is in fact not for sale. It could be because if they put India as a line of contact then the initial laws of false advertising doesn't apply because the laws are different. Every other filter for real estate seems to operating in the same manor with flooded calls and emails from the loan companies. The best way to protect your sensitive information and prevent it from a breach or even your credit taking hit after hit would be always contact a local realtor to assist you in finding a new home. They have real time listings. Pick your home and do a physical tour first then apply for the loan. This protects you. Although some realtors are now in the practice of pre approvals first. Simply tell them no not until you have a home in mind first. If they insists stop business immediately with them. And never sign documents signs because it bonds you to them taking your freedom of choice away. If you are selling that still applies especially if you don't have a new home picked out. The good old fashioned way is the safest way to acquire your new home. Buying a new home should never be attempted by way of cyber space because when it comes down to it your wishes for a new home will go into cyber space as well
