I recently posted photos of a room in my house on various social media and room sites. Zillow has pulled these photos from those websites and placed them on their website and now I am in jeopardy of my HOA finding out about my room which does not allow room rentals and may cause a legal battle with my HOA. My house is not on the market for sale and I did not authorize Zillow to use these personal photos. I have tried to remove all of the photos but the main image of my room still appears. I have contact Zillow and asked them to remove the photo and their response was: To bring you the most up-to-date housing information, we’ve recently changed how we source listing data. As a result, the primary photo cannot be removed on some offf market properties If I am forced legal issues because of something they did I will be forced to sue Zillow!

I BEING LOOKING FOR AN APARTMENT UNDER THIS SITE IN ADDITION,SINCE JULY 2025 AND THEY HAVE PROVIDED NO HELP NO COMMUNICATION OR RESOURCES

I applied for two rental properties through Zillow and paid the $35 application fee, but I’ve received no response from either property manager. Zillow does not provide direct support or follow-up, and there’s no clear way to confirm whether landlords even review the applications. The platform takes the payment but leaves renters with no accountability or feedback from the property owners. Zillow should improve transparency and communication between applicants and property managers.

The Houses price are not accurate my house priced $780,000 in other webs and for Zillow is $725,000 ?

In my opinion and experience, Zillow is nowhere near as professional or accurate in their real estate estimates as Redfin, and very far beneath Redfin in their customer service. I had three appraisers appraise a home of ours. Redfin’s estimate on the value of the home is within 2% of the average of these three appraisals. Zillows estimate is 30% below the average appraisal. When I reached out to Zillow to bring this significant error to their attention, the only objective of their customer service reps was to dismiss me and my concern without ever even considering my concern as being legitimate. They kept sending me boilerplate cut and paste which only explained how they do their estimates and that estimates cannot be manually changed. In other words they just kept saying in so many words “this is the way have always done it, sorry”. The fact that there was a serious flaw in the estimates generated in particular areas / particular housing was of no interest to them towards fixing the flaw. I wrote a letter to the office of the CEO (Jeremy Wacksman) as I figured senior mgmt might be interested in knowing about and fixing a flaw that would result in more accurate estimates in a particular community and would also help Zillow’s credibility. I never heard back anything at all. Sr Mgmt, like all of zillow, simply does not care in QA or constant improvement. A couple of years ago I made a customer inquiry to Redfin and they were extremely responsive and professional and attended to my concern asap. Zillows only interest was to wipe my concern off their plate as quickly as possible without giving my concern one second of consideration. They are seriously not only the most untrustworthy real estate related company I have ever dealt with, they also have the worst customer service department I have ever dealt with. Save yourself time and aggravation and inaccuracy - work with Redfin or any other real estate company over Zillow.

Inaccurate listings, hidden fees that aren't in the cost and breakdown list and brokers charging a brokers fee even though its illegal in the state of NY. One broker told me when I questioned the brokers fee that the listing was listed before the law became effective and they have the right to charge it to the rental fees for the tenant to pay and not the landlord . Illegal!! Not to mention, this was a flat out lie according to the listing history. Stay clear ! There’s also brokers declining rentals to rental assistance tenants even though they have the income and voucher to cover the rental price , which is also illegal!

I don’t like that Zillow had an application process where we only pay $30 and we could submit multiple applications and now I am running into the accepted through Zillow applications homes that are being linked to another application portal that cost over $100 and more those need to be removed and the accepted Zillow applications homes need to be separate because at that point it’s false advertisement click bait we like the $30 applications and now you guys are making it complicated by adding real estate companies on the apply instantly and it’s no longer applying instantly because there’s another route false advertising

I scheduled a tour & was immediately asked how soon I was planning on buying. I responded that I am just looking. Nothing until the next day when I was told that I would need to contact the listing agent because the agent assigned had another appointment. Why offer the service if you are not able to fulfill it?
