WorldMark owner since 2008, highly disappointed
I have been a WorldMark owner since 2008, and what was sold to me as a family legacy of vacations has become a source of dread and financial stress. From the very first event — advertised as a "dinner" but delivered as finger food and hours of rotating salespeople — I should have known what I was getting into. Every check-in since has felt like walking into a trap. The "owners' breakfast" is anything but optional. Sales presentations are relentless: soft refusals get redirected, hesitation becomes an opening, and the goal is clearly to wear you down until you say yes just to be released. In August 2022, while I was still recovering from a serious motor vehicle accident, a representative called me to push additional credits. I was foggy and vulnerable. I barely remember the conversation. That a major financial decision was pushed on me in that condition says everything about how this company operates. Maintenance fees were mentioned at signing — but the fact that they increase every single year with no ceiling and no transparency was never made clear. What was framed as a gift for my children is actually a growing financial burden I would be passing down to them. When my contract neared payoff, the calls escalated — from multiple numbers, because their sales team knows people stop answering ones they recognize. I eventually had to block WorldMark on my phone entirely. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
