My partner and I purchased a Wyndham…
My partner and I purchased a Wyndham timeshare on November 9, 2024, at Bonnet Creek in Florida, and it has been nothing but heartbreak and financial hardship since. The sales presentation itself was exhausting and manipulative. It was a long, drawn-out session where Wyndham representatives used high-pressure tactics to wear us down. They pushed us to buy more points, made everything sound too good to be true, and never gave us a real opportunity to think things through. They painted a picture of staying at exclusive, high-end resorts only available to owners like us, and insisted this was a smart real estate investment that would build equity over time and could be resold later for a profit. Not once did anyone stop to review our financial situation or ask whether we could actually afford this commitment. They simply skipped that part and kept selling. Once we signed, reality hit fast. The resorts are average at best, which was nothing like what was described. Booking has been a nightmare, and we haven't secured a single reservation. Anyone can book these same properties on public travel websites. There's nothing exclusive about it. We were also never told about the endless additional fees, maintenance, exchange, club, reservation, cleaning, and potential special assessments. We paid $2,000 for a rental service Wyndham never delivered on. Our credit scores have since dropped 130 points, and Shameik lost his job, making everything worse. We've formally requested contract termination due to these deceptive sales practices and gross misrepresentations. Buyer beware. >
