Wyndham refused to provide the gifts promised when I showed up to attend a time sharing presentation on April 28, 2024 at the Legacy Golf Resort in AZ. They refused because I was an unattended female without my boyfriend present. I find this highly offensive when there are still outdated practices requiring a partner to be in attendance to make any financial decisions. I am a highly educated and accomplished executive, own my own home, and don’t need any assistance to make a decision when it comes to a timeshare. Don’t waste your time with a company that engages is these practices!

We stayed at Days Inn, Tahlequah, OK on April 26, 2024. I am a Gold Member and I was here with 2 friends. We had a king suite, very nice beds, bathroom and dressing room with new countertop & sink. The bed units with built-in plugs for USB ... nice. The problem was in the kitchen area. - No soap, neither hand soap or dish soap - No kitchen towel or dish cloth - Drain grate in kitchen sink was bent and looked very dirty - There were large droppings of food crumbs on the ledge of the kitchen drawers. - There was a TV in both rooms, very nice, but the remotes would not work. Someone had to come up from the front desk and bring a new remote. -There was no hair dryer available. This has become a regular at most all hotels, so it was expected. - No breakfast was available, as they explained, the area was being redone. But I've read reviews from months earlier that reported the same issue. -This was the same story about the pool. Previous reviews said it was in repair months earlier. There was no evidence of work being done in either area. I've stayed at many Wyndham properties. This wasn't TERRIBLE, but it wasn't as it should be. Having recommemded this property, and brought guests with me, I was not pleased with what was found here.

Mi experiencia con Worldmark fue fraudulenta desde el principio. En noviembre del 2021, mi hijo hizo una reservación en Worldmark en Mission Valley San Diego, bajo la impresión de que perderíamos nuestros puntos si no los usábamos. Nos pidieron una tarjeta de crédito para una presentación, esto se nos hizo raro. Y nos dijeron que necesitábamos comprar 5000 puntos para no perder los nuevos beneficios que estaban ofreciendo. Nos mintieron al decirnos que nuestros puntos podían cubrir las tarifas de mantenimiento. La disponibilidad para hacer reservaciones es imposible aunque dijeron que no habría problemas para hacer reservaciones en cualquier destino donde quisiera ir. Nuestras tarifa anual subieron inmediatamente después de comprar que es lo opuesto a lo que nos dijeron. Aparte de que nuestro pagos son altos, todo tiene un cargo adicional. Podría estar gastando mi dinero en mejores hoteles pero estoy atrapado en una estafa de la que ni siquiera puedo salir. No le permiten a nadie que sea propietario con ellos salga del contrato, y ni siquiera te explican adecuadamente el por qué. Lo tienen en nuestro contrato, pero no lo repasaron con nosotros. Créeme, saben muy bien cómo engañarte. No te molestes con estas personas y busca paquetes vacacionales en otro lugar.

Opened a credit card without MY CONSENT OR KNOWLEDGE. A true scam, avoid at all costs, not honest sales people. Called in a second time to find out what happened just to be told “this is not a good time” no apology, rude demeanor, didn’t even try to offer a solution and this is the manager, Donna telling me this! Can you believe that? What a joke.

They're crooks. Wyndham ripped me off! I owned 12,000 annual timeshare credits that I had owned for over 20 years!! After over 20 years of paying maintenance fees (and I rarely used the credits) I hit a really bad spot financially and fell behind on my maintenance fees. They sent me a letter threatening to cancel my membership if I didn't make a payment within a specified timeframe. I called an informed them of when I would be making a payment. True to my word, I made a payment of nearly $2,000 to bring my account current. They drafted the money from my bank account, and then canceled my shares. When I realized this about six months later upone trying to make a reservation, I asked to have my ownership reinstated because they canceled my contract in error. They agreed to do so only IF I paid the maintenance fees during the time my shares were canceled, despite the fact I was unable to use the credits which I had intended to use for travel and instead, I had to pay for a hotel. They stole my money and they ripped me off, stealing 12,000 timeshare credits!! I had my lawyer send them a demand letter to reinstate my shares or return my money and they ignored it. I think the only option I have now is to take them to court.

This review is a warning to others to stay away from Worldmark by Wyndham! Associating ourselves with WorldMark is the most disappointing and disastrous decision of our lives. We have been betrayed and taken advantage of. The high pressure sense of urgency started from the beginning. They left us no room to even think about it with all the information that they overwhelmed us with. They promised access to Disney parks and other magical destinations, but it was nothing more than lies designed to lure us into a contract. The sales associates were not only pushy, but also displayed a clear intent to scheme and manipulate us into making a purchase. We were held captive, as our IDs were withheld until the presentation concluded. Eventually, we caved to the pressure and signed up with just enough credits to pass an equal number of points to each of our children, which turned out to be another lie. We were also further coerced into buying even more points. What they failed to tell us was that our kids would be left with the burden of paying maintenance fees for the rest of their lives. Why would we knowingly do that to our kids? Lastly, the closing and paperwork were equally frustrating. It was rushed and lasted a mere fifteen minutes, leaving us with a sense of unease and unanswered questions. The loan officer failed to address any of our concerns and neglected to disclose our right to rescind the contract. It deeply saddens me to encounter such deceptive practices from Worldmark. Reading many other reviews, I am not alone as I see others also fell victim to their sneaky sales tactics. Everything we were told when buying was a total lie! The high pressure sales, bribery, and lies have put us in a position where we are beyond frustrated. Stop with the mistreatment and disrespect of your hard working “valued owners”!

I have been a loyal member of World Mark the Club since the late nineties and my late wife and I have enjoyed World Mark’s services for over two decades. Now that I am a widower on a meager retirement income, I just want to live the rest of my years in peace. I cannot do this with such an egregious loan hanging over my head…a loan that was ill-explained to me by a predatory timeshare sales staff. The World Mark we invested in is barely recognizable now. To the point that I have requested that they cancel my last contract, obtained through deception and coercion. The timeshare sales staff lied to me about every aspect of this agreement, as they claimed that my points could cover the cost of the rising maintenance fees, and that in the future this new timeshare would even become profitable. I was extremely hesitant to make an upgrade, but their sales team convinced me that my current agreement was unsustainable and that it was in my best interest to increase my points. They took advantage of me due to my age, and I am ashamed that I thought they had my best interest at heart. I cannot afford my current contract under any circumstances, and I never would have signed for it had it been presented in an honest manner. My new loan is for $27,0000 with a $12,000 down payment and a monthly payment of $447. This is unsustainable on my retirement income, and I only agreed to it based on false information presented about the timeshare’s profit potential. My only “relief” is that my wife is not sharing in this emotional and financial burden. Shame on World Mark and Wyndham Destinations.
