Horrible company
I've been a Wyndham Rewards Earner since 2021, thanks to my Wyndham credit card and frequent stays at their hotels for work. In 2023, I received a call from Wyndham Destinations offering me a 3-night, 4-day stay in Las Vegas for $100. When I called to make the reservation, I was told that I’d qualified for a $175 in gift cards, but it was contingent on our attendance at a “brief” Wyndham presentation. This seemed agreeable, so we scheduled the presentation for November 25th at 9am. Biggest mistake we have ever made! After 5 hours of being told of the benefits of becoming "New" owners and congratulations on your "New" purchase, I voiced my skepticism about the whole process. The rep intervened, mentioning access to "Last Call" resorts, offering opportunities for rental profit to offset the maintenance fee. She explained that I could charge a higher amount than the list price when making reservations for others. Essentially, they were suggesting I use this Wyndham timeshare as a rental property to offset the maintenance fees. This suggestion was enticing, but also made me feel uneasy. It’s been confirmed via video review of contract signing that we were not told we could terminate within 5 days as it is NOT required by Nevada law. It was stated the only way they would need to disclose the 5 days is if we asked. Beware of the loopholes people! The sales representatives opened two credit cards without our permission, lied to us about the ‘last call’ resorts to rent out our timeshare for a profit, lied to us about using our Wyndham bonus points to offset our maintenance fees, failed to disclose our cooling off period per Nevada law, and neglected to inform us of the burden this would have on our heirs. To say we are disgusted with Wyndham is an understatement.
