Extremely dissatisfied customers
As a retired couple, we dreamt of carefree car trips during our golden years, and Wyndham's sales pitch promised us just that. However, what unfolded was a nightmarish web of false assurances and financial burdens. From the beginning, the flexibility we were promised turned out to be a mirage. Despite assurances of last-minute deals and unlimited travel, finding available vacation options through our membership became a arduous task. Booking in advance became mandatory, leaving us feeling deceived and trapped. The broken promises did not stop there. Our points, promised to be usable through RCI, turned out to be worthless, and we were left to foot the bill for vacations. To add insult to injury, undisclosed fees for reservations made online caught us off guard, compounding our financial woes. Hidden monthly fees of $300, never mentioned during the sales process, blindsided us. The lack of transparency extended to maintenance fees that were supposed to be deducted from credits earned by using the Wyndham credit care - a process we were never informed to set up ourselves. Our contract, signed with excitement on July 1st, 2023, promised VIP bronze membership for $20,000. Shockingly, during our first use, we discovered we were not VIP members, rendering our contract essentially worthless. Attempts to rectify this situation only led us into a confusing and manipulative presentation lasting over 5 hours. This ordeal has become a financial nightmare, causing sleepless nights and significant stress, particularly for my husband, a Vietnam War veteran with PTSD. The emotional toll is immeasurable, and we implore the CEO of Wyndham to consider our desperate situation and provide a resolution. We believe there's a case to rescind the contract due to being mislead by the Wyndham sales team and our compromised mental state during the decision-making process.
