They hate when you ask intelligent questions. They will cold shoulder you and try getting you out of their chair, so that they can try selling to the next guy, hoping they’re an idiot.
Don’t be stupid, don’t use Wyndham or sign up for their scam.
We were swindled into a credit card with them, to pay for a “demo” of the Wyndham Experience. Not only are they charging 29% interest of the account balance, but the points that they give you are worth half as much as if you were an “actual member” or the Wyndham Experience. So, say you get 500,000 points and that seems like a lot! When some trips only cost 75,000 points, but because you’re in “demo mode” it’s actually twice as many points and you’re still paying them thousands of dollars.
There’s a special place in hell for these guys.

Customer Service is awful
Customer Service is awful! I wish I found this site before. There is a reason why over 360 reviews and all of them have 1 star.

Disgraceful Customer Service....and they are thieves
We booked this hotel for my daughter and her friend through Wyndham Rewards. At that time we received a booking confirmation (Feb 2024). At the time of booking, the hotel had an affiliation with Wyndham. When my daughter turned up to check-in (early June 2024), she showed them the confirmation, but they said they had no record of the booking and their affiliation with Wyndham had ceased in late April 2024. The front desk (FD) staff member said that if they wanted to stay they would need to pay upfront, otherwise move along. FD refused to speak to me on the phone at the time. As a father, you can imagine I don't want my daughter wandering the streets at 6pm in a new city looking for a place to stay, so I asked her to request what the price would be and we would sort it out later with the hotel and Wyndham. Staff gave her a price then took that payment from her debit card. After putting the payment through and giving her a receipt showing the price paid for 3 nights (as he verbally confirmed minutes earlier), FD said he had made a mistake and had only charged her for 2 nights (even thought the receipt clearly showed 3 nights). The amount charged for what we thought was 3 nights seemed reasonable, given it equated to what we had seen online on their website. So, rather than discuss and correct any misunderstanding then and there, they were shown to their room and told it would be sorted on checkout. Prior to check out (which was pre-6am), the hotel decided to charge my daughters' debit card for an extra night without requesting authority from her. In anyone's language this would be considered ILLEGAL! And the amount was much higher than for any of the prior 2 nights!
Now, ordinarily a hotel would honour bookings regardless of whether they had ended their affiliation with another provider or partner, but not so here at Hotel 57! And they are happy to kick you out of the hotel, if the situation appears too difficult for them to get their little minds around.
This is up there with some of the most disgraceful levels of empathy, problem solving and customer service you would ever encounter. The hotel had no interest in discussing it with either my daughter, myself or Wyndham. And before anyone says, take it up with Wyndham - I have - and they are baulking at speaking to the hotel...."because they don't have any association with Hotel 57 anymore". So where are we left? In the middle, AU$1,500 out of pocket. Thanks Hotel 57 and Wyndham for nothing! Absolutely hopeless. My advice to anyone reading this - stay away from these less than empathetic thieves at Hotel 57 and Customer Care at Wyndham, is anything but Care. You would think Wyndham would take up the baton for their members, given they have a part to play in this, but you'd be sadly mistaken! Yes, I have taken it up with Wyndham, but so far are bouncing me between different departments. Nobody wants to resolve the issue. Wyndham, you are a disgrace!

Unethical
On March 8, 2024 I made a hotel reservation and had called to inquire about their pet policy - the hotel employee I spoke to was very pleasant and helpful. He said if I stayed on the line there was a special offer I could consider. I went ahead and listened to the offer which was a NYC trip for $150 and a destination of my choice package for $150. Both required you to attend a presentation but promised a $150 gift card from each package. Being a single/divorced/homeowner with a young child, this sounded like a great way for me to go on some nice vacations. I was aware that I could cancel the packages within 7 days upon purchase. Fast forward to a couple of weeks later when I called to make my first reservation - a month in advance nothing was available for the NYC trip. So the representative helped me find something else that was close to home, so we went with Washington, DC as a second choice. Upon attempting to book this he asked some qualifying questions which included whether my household income was $60,000 a year or more. I said no and I then realized I had been sold the package under these same qualifications and now I cannot use it. This representative stated I would be refunded for this package that day May 3rd and the other package would not be refunded since it did not expire until the end of the year. I would not have lied about my income when I bought the package. They will not refund me and say they reviewed the call and I stated I met the income requirement. I cannot prove this since I don't have access to the recording. Just an unfortunate situation. I spoke to a woman who was apparently a supervisor and she was very rude and not understanding of the situation. She said the male employee I had tried to make reservations with was a trainee and was incorrect about being able to refund me for the package. I requested to speak to someone else since I didn't understand why now this person was standing in my way of a promised refund. She said if I talk to any employee at Wyndham they will not refund me either and unfortunately I'm stuck with the packages that I cannot use. I will no longer support this company as I feel the treatment I received overall is unethical. $300 is a lot to someone who makes $45,000 a year. Now my son will have to miss out on some things this summer because of this. Very disappointing experience overall. Will be sharing my experience with friends and family as well. Was just getting started as a Wyndham rewards member but will have to continue using other hotels.
After writing this the lady I spoke to, who was a very rude person overall, called me back on 5/23/24 and did in fact refund one of my packages. She stated she had run into the supervisor of the male employee who had promised a refund of the one package and that this supervisor told her that yes, they typically would offer the refund in this situation. So, she processed a refund for one package. No apology for her far from professional behavior but I was glad to receive at least 1/2 of my money back.

Wyndham time-share scam
My recent experience with the Worldmark by Wyndham sales team has left me feeling misled, and utterly disheartened. I had entered their presentation with an open mind, perhaps naively so, but the pushiness and deceptive practices I encountered were far beyond anything I could have anticipated. The pressure was relentless. I was bombarded with an array of supposed "one-time offers" and "exclusive deals," each presented as my last chance to make what was portrayed as the smartest financial decision of my life. When I expressed hesitation or sought time to think, the atmosphere grew noticeably colder; what little patience their salespeople had seemed to evaporate entirely. But what truly appalls me is the deceptive nature of the information presented. I was promised benefits and perks that, upon closer inspection, are hedged by a myriad of restrictions and additional costs. The portrayal of the timeshare as a straightforward investment was grossly misleading, painting a picture far removed from the reality of escalating maintenance fees and the complexities of exchange systems. The realization that I was viewed not as a valued potential member, but as a target to be exploited, has left me feeling more than just disappointed. I am regretful of the trust I placed in this company, and angry that such practices are deemed acceptable in pursuit of a sale. The promises of Disney cruises, the investment nature of a lifetime of family vacations, 2 free trips, one to Columbia and one to Greece, and the easiness of booking vacations have not materialized since the date of our purchase. To make matters worse, these unethical salespeople signed us up for a credit card without our authorization, and had our credit checked without our authorization. This feels illegal in so many ways.

Beware of deceptive practices at…
Beware of deceptive practices at Wyndham Resort in Las Vegas. After attending a persuasive presentation and speaking with a salesman, my partner and I were coerced into signing a contract based on severely overstated value and benefits. This salesman promised benefits such as leveraging our existing timeshare, earning points through a credit card for payments, and the option to sell back days, none of which materialized as described. We were blindsided by hidden fees, unmet promises, and a lack of transparency regarding our ownership level and costs. Attempts to address our concerns post-sale were met with indifference and further disappointment. We caution others to scrutinize offers carefully and demand transparency from Wyndham to rectify these unethical practices.

Worldmark Experience
Our introduction to Worldmark during our honeymoon in Las Vegas quickly turned into a nightmare of relentless sales pressure and false promises. What began as an offer for a "free dinner and show" in exchange for attending a brief seminar escalated into a grueling six-hour ordeal. Despite our repeated attempts to leave, we were subjected to relentless pitches from multiple salesmen, each more persistent than the last. Even our status as veterans was exploited, with promises of exclusive discounts and benefits that turned out to be grossly exaggerated or outright falsified.
Throughout the ordeal, we were misled about the nature of the timeshare, falsely led to believe it was an investment akin to real estate and promised benefits that never materialized. Despite shelling out thousands of dollars, we found ourselves unable to book vacations as promised, and faced with undisclosed maintenance fees that only added to our financial burden. Our experience with Worldmark has been nothing short of a betrayal of trust, with false promises and high-pressure tactics leaving us utterly regretful of ever engaging with them.
Starting off a new marriage saddled with a timeshare, is not how I envisioned my honeymoon!
