Awful Wyndham Experience
As a long-time timeshare owner, I've finally discovered the dark side of Wyndham's business practices. During a so-called "mandatory meeting" at Plantation Resort, I was trapped for over four hours by sales representatives Jacob and Dennis, who basically ambushed me—an elderly widow—into signing a contract that was more complicated than my original. They just wanted to take advantage of me because of my age and to pad their commission check! Here's the kicker: these smooth-talking salesmen mentioned a tiny $2,556 fee but conveniently forgot to mention the whopping $14,491 loan. When I tried to get a moment to think and call my family, they had the nerve to question my decision-making abilities. Can you believe it? They pressured me relentlessly, creating this fake urgency that would make a used car salesman blush. The entire interaction was a masterclass in manipulation. No transparency, no respect, just pure predatory sales tactics designed to take advantage of someone in a vulnerable position. They withheld critical information about the loan, my rights, and the true nature of this financial trap. Seriously, their approach was so unethical it should be illegal. I'm demanding one thing: cancel this contract. If Wyndham doesn't step up, I'm taking this straight to consumer protection agencies. To anyone thinking about a timeshare: read the fine print, bring backup, and never—I mean never—let anyone pressure you into a decision on the spot.
