I am writing this review for Wyndham because we were misled throughout their entire sales presentation. We were put in stressful situations and made to feel intense distress in order to push us towards purchasing a timeshare. The reps never explained our rights to rescind the contract if we wanted to and our overall experience with Wyndham lacks good faith with Wyndham employees choosing not to be transparent about many things. Had they been honest with us from the beginning, we would never have agreed to sign anything with them.
We were lied to about the availability of Wyndham resorts upon purchase. We were told that this was an investment opportunity that would function like real estate property we would own and be able to rent out for passive income. That was a complete lie.
I am diabetic. At one of their high pressure sales meetings where they kept us hostage by holding our ID’s, I informed them multiple times that my blood sugar was dangerously low and can cause significant health problems if not addressed. They didn’t care and continued to pour on the pressure for us to buy something. As my glucose levels continued to plummet, my DEXCOM G-7 meter indicated a dangerous low blood reading of “60”. They agreed to provide me with some fast food from a local carry-out that took about 1 hour to arrive. I also informed them that I was recovering from stage 4 kidney transplant, cardiovascular disease, stage 4 prostate cancer survival, heart attack survival, current osteoporosis, recovery from tractional retinal detachment left eye surgery. I also explained that I served 33 years in the military and suffered from PTSD. My wife Dianne also has had her share of medical issues, including surviving 2 major strokes along with over 20 mini strokes. To make a long story short, their employees didn’t care about our health, and we were pretty much forced to purchase something just so we could leave and get out of there. This was a nightmare of an experience. It

Very dissatified loyal customers for over 24 years of loyalty…
I am writing this review for Wyndham with profound disappointment. My husband James and I have been loyal Wyndham timeshare owners for over 20 years. Our recent experience has left us questioning the integrity of the promises made to us and the values this company upholds.
In May, amidst personal family commitments and a longing to see our daughter and grandson from Texas, we found ourselves entangled in a situation that we neither anticipated nor desired. We were approached by Manager Frank Bryant, who presented us with an opportunity that he described would significantly enhance our ownership experience. He mentioned a recent change where owners were allegedly compensated for their deeds and offered more points, supposedly increasing availability.
We explained that we are on a fixed income and our primary interest was making the most of what we already had. Despite our reservations, Mr. Bryant assured us of the benefits, leveraging his claim of shared Christian values to gain our trust. This, in hindsight, was a manipulation of our faith and trust.
Feeling pressured and rushed, with our family waiting, we found ourselves agreeing to a situation we did not fully understand, misled by the promise of a better owner experience. This has resulted in a financial strain we are ill-equipped to handle, with unexpected credit card debts amounting to $7,000 under the guise of gaining points for maintenance fees.
Our attempts to seek clarity and resolution from Mr. Bryant and Ms. Taylor Gharladini have been met with evasion and silence. The lack of response and accountability from the representatives has been disheartening. For every 15 text messages I sent to Mr. Bryant, 1 text would be received from him to schedule a time to talk. After that, we pleaded with him to explain the finances and we never heard from him again.
I am hoping this review doesn’t fall on deaf ears by Wyndham and hope they offer us some resolution to the situation we have been put in.

Inability to have dream vacations materialize after 10 years of ownership
After nearly a decade of ownership, our journey with Wyndham Timeshare has been marred by disappointment and frustration. What initially appeared as a promising opportunity to revolutionize our vacation experiences has devolved into a regrettable financial burden and a lesson in deceptive sales tactics.
Our introduction to Wyndham's timeshare program began innocently enough during a vacation, where we were lured into a presentation under the guise of educational enlightenment. However, what unfolded was a relentless onslaught of pressure from a sales representative. Despite expressing our disinterest, we found ourselves ensnared in a five-hour ordeal of coercive sales tactics, eventually succumbing to their relentless pressure.
The promise of a buyback program, touted as a safety net, turned out to be a lie, leaving us with a false sense of security. Crucial details regarding the true cost of the agreement were conveniently omitted, and our right to cancel within a reasonable timeframe was never disclosed, robbing us of a chance to reconsider our decision.
Over the years, our attempts to make the most of our timeshare have only led to further disillusionment. False promises of additional income through renting and assurances of capped maintenance fees have proven to be nothing more than hollow sales pitches. Multiple upgrades to our contract, each accompanied by lofty assurances, have only served to deepen our disappointment as the envisioned dream vacations failed to materialize.

Sad experience with customer care agent
I emailed customer care as I couldn't find direct email for one of the properties. I needed an answer to a very simple question. If I book with credit card can I pay with cash upon check out? ( recently one of their hotels did not accept cash)
I gave address, location, state also stated I plan to make a reservation.
2 days later I get generic response:
Thank you for contacting Customer Care. I am truly sorry to hear of your experience in one of our property.
To better assist you, please provide us with ;
-the name of the guest under the reservation
-the location of the property
-the check in and check out date
-the phone number that you used in this reservation
-the confirmation number of this reservation.
Once we receive your response with the requested information we will submit your concern to the property for their assistance in resolution.
Thank you for choosing Wyndham Customer Care.

I write back:
Hello !!!
Did you even read my request???
I did not stay at the property YET! I am merely asking if I book with credit card ( if I end up staying there) if I can pay cash upon check out instead of a charge.
There was no email for the hotel directly so therefore I am going thru your customer service.
Once again, I am only trying to plan the stay there, there fore there is no reservation number.
2 days later I get another response:

We come from a generic question about property in Washington state to this. I pick up phone and ask for a supervisor to explain what happened. She was apologetic, bla, bla, said they will train the agents etc. I asked if for my trouble she can at least credit my account some points. Of course NOT!!! Since I did not experienced issue at the property. Zero appreciation for someone taking time no address the issue. I truly feel sorry for someone who had a very negative experience they need resolve, when their customer service cannot even answer a generic question. This reflect very badly on their brand, which I will definitely skip upon my future trips

Duped by Wyndham salespeople multiple times
I am writing to share my experience with Wyndham Vacation Ownership, from the initial contact to our most recent interaction, which has left me with mixed feelings. These mixed feelings have led to an extremely complicated relationship with Wyndham, which has been mostly negative and left our family with the feeling that we have been scammed multiple times by Wyndham salespeople. Vital information was either omitted or carefully misrepresented. For example, we were told that we would be able to travel anywhere and be able to visit important resorts in exotic and unique destinations. What they do not tell you is that availability is very scarce and the points that they originally promise you are enough to travel to locations such as Greece or Hawaii, but those locations require an outrageous number of points. It is details such as these that have left us with the incredibly sickening feeling of being tricked into purchasing our Wyndham timeshare and something that is quite difficult for us to shake off. I would never have agreed to pay what came to be an overwhelming $733.47 plus $198.00 for Club Wyndham monthly. I had no idea it would be so much and felt misled by the rep as he had never mentioned that figure and I thought I was clear on my margin. I feel our trust has been taken advantage of, from the initial misleading sales tactics to the recent unmet promises. We entered this agreement with hopes of enhancing our vacation experiences but have been left with concerns over financial commitments and the true nature of our timeshare.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! NONE OF THE AMENITIES ADVERTISED ARE TRUE! This is owned by a family who live onsite and make it very clear that anyone not Middle Eastern is not welcome. When you pull up, it's under construction and parking is not available. There is 1 ADA handicap for the eniter place and to park, you would have to do so on the side street. Checking in was the first sign we shouldn't stay there. The staff if beyond rude! I used my Wyndam points for a free night and then for a reduced rate for the 2nd. When speaking with Roan at customer service she verified 7 separate times my husbands name was on the reservation to check in. When he finished working and tried checking in at 10:30 p.m., they refused to let him claiming his name wasn't on the reservation. Because of the time, he was unable to call customer service. This forced me to drive the 1.5 hrs (1 way) to go check him in. Then, the front desk proceeded to be disrespectful (all recorded). After 30min of checking-in, we get to the room. While they tried to update it, it was filthy, and again, there's no parking , wi-fi is spotty at best, and we had to call maintenance because the TV didn't work. When maintenance arrived, he didn't speak English and he couldn't get the TV to work either. Breakfast is a joke, it's pieces of sliced bread sitting in a plastic display stand for you to toast, but there isn't any butter or toppings, just dry toast. You can choose from coffee or milk as your drink. Because Roan with customer service didn't book the reservation as 2 days rather separate, they are making him check out at 11a and then re-check in at 3p. This defeats the entire purpose of him getting a room to rest. I called customer service at 8a and spoke to Bruce who said in order to cancel the reservation the hotel would need to approve it and the manager would not be in for another hour and to call back. I was then transferred to a supervisor, Julia who all but called me a liar after I told her what the hotel told Bruce, put me on hold only to come back and say the same thing, "call back in an hour". She went further to say if I cancelled without the managers approval, I would still be charged - YES despite all the inconvenience and hotel issues. She went further to say if I had a complaint about the hotel, call customer service and let them know....WHAT IS SHE? I am DONE with ANY and ALL Wyndam brand hotels after this! NEVER AGAIN!

SLEASY SALES TATICS AFFECTING CREDIT
Whatever you do, DO NOT EVER AGREE TO A SALES TOUR. Seriously this has been the most nightmarish scenario that has affected my credit. I knew they were scam artists and they decided to open a credit and even though I refused and told them no. Please spare yourself of this scam.

To say we are furious with Wyndham…
To say we are furious with Wyndham Resorts would be putting it lightly. We have spent close to $15,000 for 1 lousy vacation where we were harassed into upgrading our contract. Since becoming owners, my husband and I have been dealing with an unacceptable lack of availability, questionable charges on our credit card, and horrible customer service.
We begrudgingly agreed to purchase a Wyndham timeshare after 3 hours of coercive sales tactics, but we had no idea this is what we’d be walking into. The non-disclosure of critical details and the overall lack of transparency has gotten to a breaking point, and we are demanding the termination of our contract. We were subjected to multiple claims that have turned out to be false. For example, we were told that this was a real estate investment, that Wyndham properties were exclusive to owners, and that we could leave our timeshare to our children in the event of our passing. We were never told that this contract would last in perpetuity, and that our children would be burdened with this outrageous contract for the rest of their lives. Had we known that we absolutely wouldn’t have purchased anything. Unfortunately, we weren’t privy to all the details, and we ended up buying.
We are sick and tired of the never-ending sales meetings, zero availability, and rigamarole we have been forced to endure while being timeshare owners with this unethical company. The fraudulent claims made by Wyndham Resorts sales reps should be enough to terminate our contract, and we will not stop complaining until our demands have been met.
