Very displeased at the customer service provided, I called in to have a designated pick up person and manager instantly turned down any option. If I am the person who placed the order I can have anyone else pick up if I’m calling in with permission. My husband should be able to pick up my order no questions asked.

I love the store World Market, but I have made my last purchase. We ordered a couch on November 20th and it was shipped quickly but has been sitting on a dock in Dallas, TX since November 29th. My frustration is World Market doesn't care that I have not received my furniture. I have called them and emailed them numerous times along with Pilot who is suppose to deliver it. Still waiting for a response and products on December 17th!

I placed my order online for one location, Stevens Creek (Relo). The order had 3 items. Then, a day later, I received Auto Cancelation for 2 of my items. I didn't want to drive 15 ml to pick up one item and I cancel my order (via email and calling customer service multiple times). It has been 5 days since I canceled it and am still getting multiple emails for this remaining item to be picked up. Their system is broken. The main office and the locations don't share information. I finally was told that I need to call the specific location. I don't work for Cost Plus World Market. Why do I need to spend so much time on coordinating my order?

The price you pay for not giving personal information. Went into World Market 11/23/21 in Oxnard CA. For two bottles of wine for Thanksgiving. One a Pinot Noir and the other a Reisling. 11 and 14 dollars. Went to buy it and the price of each bottle was now 30 % more. The cashier said unless I was a member, the price would be more than the print price on the shelf. UNLESS I gave about 17 pieces of personal information to become a “member”. But that is only with beer and wine, aka booze. Nothing else in the store. Why is that? We are talking not just 1, 2, 3 bucks more but $5 - 6 increase for every bottle of every wine. So we will pay more for not wishing to give out all the contact information to bombard you with texts and emails. And now (yes, not a conspiracy) they know exactly who, what, when , where you buy your next purchases for life at World Markets and who knows what other companies else will buy that info from them. And beside that, its the dang priciple. Come on! Enough with the information harvesting. Especially when it COSTS us NOT to give it out. Trader Joes sells wine. Not membership for a different price. My corner liquor store doesn’t. Hey, Home Depot doesn’t have two prices - just one.

I've had such a terrible experience ordering from the website. My order is 13 days late and counting. It still hasn't arrived. Customer service has been giving me the runaround for over a week now. One person says it's on back order, so I try to cancel, then another person says it's in the warehouse being processed. When I asked for an ETA then I'm told it's still on backorder. I call yesterday to cancel again and now today I'm getting shipping notifications.

I really am kicking myself for not coming here prior to my most recent order. Worst experience in a long time! Ordered the Teagan desk ($400) online on 9/13; it "shipped" 9/16 via Pilot Freight Services and a request to make an appointment was sent via e-mail. I set it up for delivery on 10/2 through the website. Delivery was not attempted. Talked to Pilot, they said my order was still a state away awaiting pick-up to be dropped off here. Waited a few days of grace to see if they'd still deliver within the week. On 10/5 I called and refused the shipment & told them to send it back, they accepted. I contacted World Market, they said they don't process refunds until they receive the order back. Okay, fine. Fast Forward to 10/20 and I get a phone call from Pilot to SCHEDULE my delivery! I told the nice gentleman that I had already refused the order & he made a note in the system. Inquired again about my refund, they said it hadn't been 10 business days - okay, fine. On 10/22, 10 business days later I asked where's my refund. They gave me the runaround. Received a written email from Rebecca at Pilot after inquiring if they can notify World Market that the order was refused; who confirmed that World Market can see the order was returned & process my refund. After corresponding with 3-4 people at World Market, I finally got a reply of acceptance that yes they did receive the return and are refunding me "within 3-5 days". They said numerous times that they'd sent me an email - it was received 3 days after that! Here it is 10/27 and I am finally being refunded on an order I refused on 10/5 that was supposed to be delivered on 10/2 and was ordered 9/13 and I will NEVER shop at this store again!

Why do I keep ordering on-line?!! Every time I place an order on-line, it takes forever to receive the order, but World Market doesn’t hesitate to take my money in an instant. Every time I tell myself I will never order on-line again, I find something I like, and I end up ordering on-line. And every time, I find myself waiting for an order I placed two weeks prior. Not only are their shipping times the worst, their customer service is terrible as well. When I called to inquire about my order, a customer service agent named “Becky” concluded the call by telling me that she can’t tell me when I will receive my order. Thanks Becky. I have been waiting almost two weeks and I still haven’t received my order, and I have yet to receive an actual delivery date. When I track my order it says “delayed, delivery date pending”. They ship through FedEX (which is disastrous in and of itself) and neither World Market or FedEx can tell me when my package will arrive. I will NEVER, EVER order from them again. Never.

Trying to help others. World Market is great for cheap homeware you’ll replace in a year. We bought a larger item from them 2 months ago. It showed up via freight (that they charged me for) fraying 3 weeks later- fine. I get supply chains are backed up. I immediately initiated a return. 8 days later, the freight company calls me to schedule pick up. They tell me my refund will be initiated when the item gets to the warehouse in Atlanta tomorrow (Atlanta is 90 minutes away). I waited three days before contacting World Market. I did not get any documentation about the return. They told me that I had to wait 10 business days to inquire. So at 9 am on the 10th day, I did. They said a refund had been initiated. The timing was too coincidental. It seems like they hoped I forgot about the $900 item they picked up! Now, I’m waiting 3-5 days without a refund. I am guessing it will show up at 11:59 on the fifth, so I’ll have to remind them. I’m so over this cheap store- Going to just file a credit card dispute against them. Buy the shower curtain, but their corporate policies are robbery if you go for anything large!
