I ordered Hungarian paprika online to pick it up at Stevens Creek, San Jose store. According to their web site, it is available in stock (5 cans, actually). I got the order confirmation. Called them two days later and was told that they don't have the spice I ordered in stock, but they have not emailed me a cancellation order and, apparently, have not even tried to call another store (there are a few of them in the area). They are trying to promote online shopping but don't keep they web site in sync with the inventory. Very bad experience overall!

What a lousy company! I was injured at a world market which is one of your companies. I broke my finger, was treated at the ER they had to saw of my ring because my finger swell up so bad not to mention the pain. The incident is on tape they told me. I wrote Cost Plus, got a sympathy note and was told someone will get in touch with me with another email address. Can't find anything in SPAM nor in my mail. It has been repeated several times with costumer service Is anybody caring about there costumers? Is the company broke not to reimburse me for repairing my ring, for being treated at the ??????

More like, China Market than world market. Disappointed. Would have purchased so much, however, only purchased items made places other than China, which wasn't much. So many cool things I has to leave behind. Etsy here I come. Food stuff should be divided by Nationality. All oriental things are not alike. Sometimes we just need to see the Korean. Vietnamese, Japanese, etc.

Hello, I just got off the phone with one of your customer service agents who suggested that “OBTAIN A POLICE REPORT FOR A STOLEN ITEM THAT WASN’T STOLEN.” While I appreciate the advice to LIE to the police, I will have to pass on that. We order a set of chairs, which is an order of 2, however we received one. I know we received one because I helped get it off the truck. My home surveillance footage can verify this. However, generally a set of two, mean 2 items. I was under the assumption that the other one may have been lagging in its delivery, but apparently not as it never arrived. Customer chat recommended that we file a police report, then said we can take our singular chair to a store and they will refund it if we don’t want to. So then I went to the store as to not have to lie to the police, they said they cant do anything with an online order and a single chair. So then I called to talk to a person online again, and they recommended that I “not lie”, But that I need to call the police, have them come to my residence, and get a police report for the nothing that happened. I could show them the video of nothing being stolen? What the hell is that… Thanks guys.

DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. The policies of this company are horrible. I received an email advising that my order had been delivered. I called right away and told them it was not. The customer service rep said the email was sent in error. He checked the tracking number and told me it showed that it was not delivered. I waited and never received the package. I called two weeks later and told them it had not been received. They told me it was delivered on the day that I received the email. I explained again that it was never delivered. They could not find a record of my call. I told them I had a record of it. The bottom line…I have to file a police report (for a $50.00 transaction) because the package was stolen and then I have to wait to get my money back or a new shipment…even though I called immediately to let them know I did not receive it. The most ridiculous policy. I will try to get the credit card company to rectify the problem. Don’t due business with this company!

Customer disservice Purchased a table online for store pickup Verified it would be sent to my local store and waited, and waited while the credit card charge went through I tried to email the customer service link that was sent with the receipt of this order …. It’s not a functioning address So I called the customer service address given on the receipt, it needed a password ( not a line you can reach) At this point I figured I was spoofed but reached out one more time through their website ( took three calls and one Hangup) The result was, it is an authentic order but without the recourse of changing the drop location.maybe I will get my money back ,,, not counting on it shockingly poor customer care, not access to support Don’t need to pay to add this misery in my life I

Really? I was out and about today, a rare occasion during a global pandemic. I thought, I should stop at World Market so they don't go out of business. When I arrived, it was six minutes until 11 a.m. Another customer arrived. He and I both consulted our phones then watched a worker look directly at us and ... walk away. Really? Six minutes more important to your corporate policy than opening the door to TWO customers, saying, Hey folks! Come on in. I walked away with my hundreds of dollars. Want to keep brick and mortar? Remind your workers your customers are PEOPLE.

REWARDS PROGRAM IS A FARCE!!! This store has been a tradition for me for stocking stuffers every year for the past eight years. I spend quite a bit of money around the holiday season to get unique stocking stuffers from this store and have always looked forward to this trip every year. The soaps and lotions I’ve always found to be great gifts. But they do not treat their customers with respect! Which to me, makes any of those other positive attributes null and void. I joined the rewards program 9 years ago and never received any coupons or even a welcome email. There was so little communication, that I didn’t even know I had an account. Until I went to a store to spend $400 per my normal Christmas tradition. And tried to join the program to save 15% per their in-store advertisement. The QR code would not let me join, and the website would not let me login. The store associates were no help. They just gave me a number to customer service, who confirmed that I had joined since 2013 and never been sent any communication about rewards I had earned. So they basically created a situation where I could not get an advertise discount nor could I use the rewards that I had rightfully earned. And their response to me? Is that it is MY FAULT because I wasn’t logging in to the World Market website every day and checking to see if i had rewards available. It isn’t that they never communicated anything to me and that their technology is so antiquated that it cant connect a customer’s phone number to their available discounts (like every other large store). They are blaming the customer for their bad customer experience. This to me is unforgivable. There has been no reward, only a bunch if excuses ss to why I don't deserve the rewards that were promised. Sorry world market, you have gotten the last $400 from me. I am taking my Christmas tradition to another store now. Happy Holidays and enjoy robbing your customers!
