Great for basic, no-frills hosting, but as soon as you need anything vaguely advanced, you get bland non-helpful answers and support. I only use this service for our vanilla clients. Three times now we've hit the wall with this shared hoster with other clients, who are now elsewhere.

It's certainly a reality that some sites or applications will "hit the wall" where any shared hosting is concerned. The more complex and resource-intensive sites and applications become, the more they require a more specialized or individualized kind of hosting that is in a different category than the shared hosting that we offer. We're glad that you find us to be a good home for some of your clients though. :) We appreciate you trusting us for those client's sites.

I chose 3 web hosting suitable to my needs from Microsoft Hosting Partners. One week ago I decided to give a try to WinHost. The first day I got a problem uploading files more than 200KB. I posted on the forum and WinHost Support suggested to open a ticket. I did issued a ticket. WinHost Support responded so fast and friendly so my problem was solved. During discussion to solve the problems they were willing to reproduce the error, so I give them a temporary account to acces my app since I am still in testing phase. Finally they let me know the report why my app has auto recycled. This is amazing. So I highly recommend WinHost.

Hi, agathasociety. We agree! Which is why we built a great Control Panel from scratch: https://cp.winhost.com/ If you mean a third-party control panel like cPanel or Plesk, we don't use those because we don't want to be trapped in someone else's development cycle (or I should say that we don't want YOU to be trapped in it). When you use a third-party control panel and Microsoft (or anyone else) releases some new bit of technology, you have to wait for the control panel company to add the new technology. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Or sometimes they make you wait 3 or 6 or more months for what you want. But since we built and maintain our own Control Panel, we can add new technology as soon as it's available. We can fix problems that might crop up immediately, and basically it just makes us more independent, and that's what we're after. It's better for us and it's better for you.
