Overall, I’ve had a solid experience with this hosting provider so far. The initial setup and configuration were super easy and straightforward. Downtime has been reasonable and hasn't been a big issue. My only real critique is that the server response speed feels a bit slow at times. Other than that, everything is running smoothly!

No problems encountered

Stuff just works. Setting up the site and database was fairly easy; using a domain and SSL certificate that we already purchased and had running elsewhere. When I needed to ask for support, the response was quick and thorough. Only quibble: As an Australian organization, it would have been better if the Windows environment could be configured to use non-US locale settings.

When I logged a ticket the answer was prompt, courteous and solved my issues. They were frequent early in my efforts. Since then I have discovered MS and Github copilots and a rich supply of pointers and solutions. The knowledgebase is pretty much redundant.

Just like with anything that is good there is room to improve. In the 3 months that winhost has been hosting my .net core application I've had great satisfaction with the hosting, the ease in publishing a site from visual studio and utilizing ftp, domain and ssl certificate purchasing and implementation. Customer service is generally very responsive and reliable. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because your experience with a customer service agent will vary. You can tell when you're working with someone who is ready to move on to another job, and should.
