Clear and easy instructions. Good software. The revocable trust was a bit harder but doable.

Bought the 2023 version to update my Will, specially to account for my on-going plans to Recompose my body upon death vs. cremation. This is a legal option in 7 states already. Your software only allows burial or cremation as the options, i.e. have to select one or the other and that is not what I am doing. Any plans to update the software to allow another entry/ process?

Thank you for your feedback. Yes! Reconfiguring that section of WillMaker's Final Arrangements document is on our list of changes to make next. We agree that WillMaker should allow for the many non-traditional options people now have for body disposition, including recomposition, aquamation, conservation burials, and others. We hope to have this feature implemented by the end of the year.

I purchased from Costco. Online version. Downloaded. Started to enter data. Did it 3 times and when I take a break the data entered disappeared. Re entered and disappeared again. Looked into NOLO back up documents, EMPTY FOLDER. Called the tech support, they're at lunch. Will email so resolution can take weeks .

The options were thorough. We were able to answer all the questions due to the provided explanations with the questions. The total cost was much less than using an attorney. But, the documents appear to be more comprehensive than we expected.

I found the wording of the will rather rudimentary. I would have liked a better way to add bequests and comments. The program was okay, but I am pretty well versed in filling out online forms.

Thank you for leaving a review. One thing that sets WillMaker documents apart is that wherever possible, WillMaker uses language that is clear and accessible to the person making the document. In other words, WillMaker avoids "legalese" if it can use "plain English" instead. While this might make a document's language seem rudimentary, it also ensures that all who read it will understand it. And you're right that WillMaker doesn't allow comments or free-form bequests in its will. Limiting the language to WillMaker's time-tested legal provisions reduces the possibility of free-form text creating contractions or confusion. For comments, explanations, and personal notes, we suggest using WillMaker's Letter to Survivors, a separate non-legal document in which you can leave any amount of free-form information for your survivors.
