I am a shift lead at a Walgreens. I have a customer who is upset that she is unable to create a Walgreens account within the application or on the website with her email. I gathered precise information to call support on her behalf since she has called multiple times and gotten no help. I was put on hold for 25 minutes, and the representative I was put in contact with hung up on me after telling me it was the customer's fault. I guided the customer through the process myself, and am very confident that it has nothing to do with her.

The Place has a serious issue with racist.
The pharmacy has a serious issue with racism. There haven't been any Black employees here for decades, and there are no Black characters represented in the entire store. Every time I come to pick up my prescription, it is never ready, and I often find myself having to argue with the white employee at the counter who is managing my refill. She is not friendly at all and always has an attitude towards me, which is frustrating because it feels like she is not doing her job. The overall pharmacy experience is difficult, but I have no choice but to continue using them to get my medication for congestive heart failure, which is not improving with the current medications. It is very frustrating to have to deal with people who display such racist attitudes in a place that serves customers of all races.

Steal Money on Gift Cards
On May 28th, 2025 I bought two gift cards for $50 each for Home Depot. One of them worked, the other one did not. My credit card was charged and I had to provide the original receipt and all the proper documents to some customer relations team of Walgreens to work on a resolution. Sixty five days later and after close to a dozen correspondence by me to them regarding the $50 they came back and said to contact Home Depot. They said the issue was not on their end. Then they give me some Walgreens slogan how they are committed to their customers and their health and wellbeing. If that was true they would refund the $50 to my credit card. They are committed to themselves, not their customers. Where else can you get all your medical needs and buy alcohol, tobacco and get $50 stolen from you...Walgreens. In the future give gifts in cash don't buy your gift cards from Walgreens. They are about money, not their customer base. This is a matter of principle not money.

I have to change pharmacy
I have to change pharmacy. I stop by my pharmacy to ask the pharmacist. One question the shape of the pill that I take has changed. I wanted to make sure it was the right pill. She had an attitude. She did not greet me. She was rude at the end of it. I said, thank you this lady with her miserable face just walked away, sometimes dealing with your own people. It's the worst. You're better off dealing with the enemy. And I wish people would leave their problems at their house when you in public act like you're happy to have a job.

Walgreens and Express Script are the Devil
I’m only filling prescriptions at Walgreens because my greedy insurance provider forces me to- because they make a cut of the profits. Walgreens is the absolute WORST. They won’t do any information lookup themselves and forced me to call my insurance TWICE and then my doctor and previous pharmacies to confirm a flippin’ ASTHMA prescription. And even still, I can’t get it from them.
Stuff is often out of stock, They don’t answer phone calls and they won’t make calls to prescribers themselves. Oh! And they lose your info in the system so you can do all that work all over again.
I’m so disgusted with Walgreens, Express Scripts, and the whole industry. They would deprive people of medical care and let them die, in service to further padding their pockets. It feels like I’m dealing with the mob rather than what should be healthcare.
And from what I read, it’s less the pharmacist’s faults and more the corporate fat cats’- big shock. They short-staff their stores- like they do at my job and everywhere else right now. The greedy capitalists at the top eating all of America, stretching the poverty gap, bleeding us like vampires.

Discounts Don't Matter When Prescriptions Are Always Wrong
For months Walgreens kept refilling outdated prescriptions, incorrect dosages, etc. They said it was due to auto fill on prescriptions. Considering how often medications change, this is a ludicrous concept. But after they were asked to remove me from auto fill, which they said they did, I continued receiving medications I didn't need or incorrect dosages. I will never waste my time or money with Walgreens again. They're a joke.

Walgreens is a great store!
The Walgreens at the corner of Hopkins Road and Meadowdałe is where I shop and pick up prescriptions.
I can find my toilet paper, paper towels, dog treats, I can buy cosmetics, and my bottle water. I love going to Walgreens I enjoy the friendly hello when I walk in the door. They have a drive up window for me to pick up my prescriptions. It's not far from my house. If I need help finding an item, they are always willing to help me.

Never had been to this Walgreens & never will be again
I gave one star bc I had to, not bc they deserve even one star. I had knee replacement surgery yesterday in Henderson ky. Later on, my dr made decision to let me go on home. Bc of the severity of pain involved in the surgical procedure, I was prescribed a narcotic pain reliever & it was sent in to the Henderson ky Walgreens on the corner of 5th & Green. I had never been to this location, my usual drug store closes at 5pm & I wasn’t going to b able to get the meds there bc of that, the hospital sent my rx to this location. When we arrived to pick them up, the pharmacist rudely told us that he wouldn’t fill the prescription bc “I had never been there before.” What does that have to do w being able to pick up a valid rx, sent directly from the hospital to the store? I explained to him that I had just had knee surgery & the decision was made by the hospital to use Walgreens instead of my usual drug store so that I would b able to get them, to help w the pain that the fresh surgery would cause me last night. This rude, condescending pharmacist didn’t hold back in showing me that he absolutely did not care. I continue to get more angry picturing the look on his face. I realize that things have become more strict involving opioid prescriptions, but this was more like grossly rude & unprofessional than for the greater good. Nothing would b gained or kept safer as the result of this refusal. I have never had any issues involving this kinda stuff. Obviously there was no fraud going on as the prescription was sent electronically directly from the hospital up the road from them. It was simply bc “I had never been there before” Being this location is just a coupe blocks from the hospital, wonder how many prescriptions are regularly sent there for people who have never been there before? That is not a valid reason to refuse to fill a valid prescription. It was more like an opportunity for this pharmacist to b condescending & rude, I thought this incident went against everything a pharmacy should stand for, to help the customer who very much needs their help at the time, whether they are a new customer or not. This incident was on July 8, 2025 @ roughly 6pm.
