I never accepted a booking but was threatened with a charge on my card for cancellation. How can I cancel soyi never agreed to in the first place. Last time for me. Totally deceptive practice

My sister has this app and we had amazing dog walker her name is Malia Malone our two Pomeranian took to her really well, that we couldn't believe it, she came over really prepared we are going to refer family and friends.

I usually don’t do reviews because I could care less for the most part, but it’s concerning my dogs and other dogs, so I will make one. I did not receive any sympathy in return when I was losing my mind over the situation. Therefore, a review will be left in warning for others. I’ve used Wag! every time I have went on a trip. I haven’t had any issues until this previous week. I’m shocked to say the least. I have two senior Pitbulls, whom are very laid back, but they’re senior and Pitbulls with skin allergies. Common. I arranged for a sitting. Not a brief drop-in. A sitting! I told the young lady she did not have to stay the night but I would like for her there until it is bedtime. They’re older and I’m just nervous. I would pay for all night sitting though. Just as long as she was there the other 15 or so hours. I’m paying someone to do an easy job and not expecting much but to make sure my dogs go outside 3 or 4 times a day so I don’t see the issue. It was a sitting I was paying for. Not the a brief drop-in remind you. Well, she came and she went quickly. I have a camera but it doesn’t record unless I have it record so I saw her enter and then checked back to her gone. She let me know she had somewhere else to go and I said that’s fine. You have the option to choose and I chose I didn’t want them alone for at least over 4 hours. She was gone for 8. She didn’t come back to let them back outside until I asked where she was. She then proceeded to get an attitude with me that I could cancel and she didn’t care what I did. I’m out of the country and she had my house key. I was very uncomfortable at this moment. I reminded her it wasn’t the time and she quickly changed her tone. I assume because they can read the conversations she remembered. She told me she had other jobs and it wasn’t like she wasn’t coming to take them back outside?? I’m paying for a sitting. Not a brief in visit. At this point I’m uncomfortable and she’s giving every excuse in the book. I cancelled the sitting. I just wanted her away from my place. I contacted customer service as I was being charged for the entire night even though she left. I was against this. I asked them to read the conversation. They said she did nothing wrong and was polite even though I clearly asked her in the conversation to not get an attitude about the situation. Not sure what they were reading. They then told me she’s not obligated to stay and my dogs were taken outside and fine. They were taken out twice in 24 hours. I have never let my dogs only use the bathroom twice in 24 hours. I don’t even let them go 8 hours which she did. They are senior dogs. That’s a urinary tract infection just waiting to happen. After getting nowhere with customer service, I paid for her to stay 24 hours even though she took my dogs out twice, got an attitude, and did not stay with them at all. I was very upset I was treated that way. At this point I have no one to watch my dogs and I’m out of the country. From this moment on, I scheduled probably 16 more drop-ins and every caregiver cancelled at the last minute. Every single one. I had to beg neighbors to take my dogs outside and then I had to fly home early to get to my babies. It was a nightmare and my poor dogs. Of course, my male is now urinating blood. I am assuming a urinary tract infection so the vet has me monitoring him. On top of all this, she brought in some sort of diffuser because I guess she has allergies to dogs? So strange to be in a dog business but allergic. It gets better… Beware!!! There’s little dog poop on my balcony. As in when she was coming in to let my dogs outside, she brought in a small dog with her and put the dog on my balcony. Little poop. Not big poop. Nor do I allow my dogs on the balcony to use the bathroom nor would they even do that on concrete. My dogs are very friendly and love bugs but if my dogs would have attacked that dog, we all know the rep the media portrays them as. It would have been their fault. If it was someone else’s dog she was watching because you have the option for dogs to go to the sitters house, that’s even more scary. I’m sure those owners would be upset to know that. It was a very crazy and sad situation. I will never use this service again. They do not care at all about pets. Beware, please. Especially if you are leaving your dogs with sitters. You don’t know where they are taking your fur babies as these caregivers are doing multiple jobs at once and the company allows it.

Screw this company. I’m a Walker. Have been for a long time. Normally, for the most part, everything goes fine but this particular evening I got bit by a dog I had never taken care of before. I’m absolutely traumatized from the situation, Wag will not speak to me about my options. They just tell me to contact the owner. I was not paid for the walk. Now the app won’t let me accept any other walks and I no longer can work! I’m livid and I hope everybody stops using this company’s services. It’s a complete rip off. They over charge the pet parents and pay us walkers very little. Whenever tragedy strikes they say “you’re on your own and also you don’t have a job anymore” …unbelievable

Don’t use this service: the pet caregivers don’t care and are not qualified in any way. They leave your house a mess and don’t care for the animals. My four year old boy wasn’t walked at all and pooped in the house

The company model is not good and here’s why. When it comes to caregiving, you need to know your caregiver is safe, reliable, and hopefully caring for your pets. And this niche directly targets people who want to start a job/side hustle in a field that involves something they enjoy; ie. pets. So when caring people join, they are encouraged to have 5 people sign up and write something about how they would be a good caregiver. This could EASILY be accomplished by filling out your name and what you want to say, HOWEVER, it continues to REQUIRE those 5 people to 1.create an account, 2.input your personal address 3.input your pets name 4. And input a photo of your pet. This is extremely unecessary, seems like a tactic to just get people to download the app, and honestly was a big turn off for me as a first impression. People should want to download the app because of good reviews and shared honest opinions, not be forced to fill out all your information just because you want to support friends who want to become wag caregivers. Overall, I’m sure there are great people on the app, but the app itself is just wrong. It shouldnt be predatory for information. App can improve by eliminating the REQUIRED information. I guarantee more people would notice the need. I myself have many pets and will not be using this app due to this experience.

HORRIBLE FOR PET CAREGIVER. THERE IS NO ACCOUNTABILITY IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE TECH DEPARTMENT DOES NOT CARE IF YOU HAVE GLITCHES. THIS APP IS IMPOSSIBLE TO USE WITHOUT ANY HICCUPS. CONTINUE USING THIS APP IF YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH THE APP NOT WORKING, AGENTS WHO GASLIGHT YOU, AND THE COMPANY HIGHER-UPS NOT CARING ABOUT WHETHER THIS APP IS WORKING PROPERLY FOR CAREGIVERS OR NOT. I'VE BEEN USING THIS APP FOR ALMOST 5 (?) MONTHS AND IT.HAS.BEEN.HELL.

I urge you DO NOT USE WAG! My 9 month and 10 month old PUPPIES were left alone for 13 HOURS when we hired (and paid good money for) an overnight sitter with the indication that the dogs were not to be left alone for more than 4 hours (they are still puppies) and that it was an overnight sleep in our house stay. The sitter came to our house at 7pm fed the dogs dinner and left by 8pm (we have ring cameras with evidence) She did not return the next morning. When we messaged her she lied about being there - when we mentioned the ring camera she then said she had to leave because her dog got sick in the middle of the night (did not tell us this). We immediately contacted wag - they promised us they were canceling the booking and giving us a credit towards the new hire and walker we had to hire in meantime to let them out. None of these credits were honored. The sitter did not get anything on her profile that indicated her NEGLECT and wag let her cancel the booking on us like it was her choice. I have called wag several times about the situation, the sitter, and overall the experience and they have proved over and over again they do not care about the wellbeing of your animals. USE OTHER DOG WALKING SITES. I have had no issues like this with Rover.
