Your customer service is TERRIBLE i an utterly dissatisfied.

Walkers are always available and do a great job. They communicate very well and I have used them consistently for 2 years.

My dog walker is the best!

Finding dog walkers can be challenging in the city which is why the simplicity of wag seems appealing and convenient but I would not recommend this company. They do not keep track of their dog walkers so if it wasn’t for the fact I have cameras at my house I would have been charged for appointments when no walker showed up, when walkers only were there 5 minutes, and when walkers were unkind and unprofessional to my dog. I haven’t used wag since May 2022 but was just charged a $95.99 annual membership fee which they’re telling me is non-refundable. The person I spoke to on the phone said it’s company policy for them to send an email 30 days prior to let you know it’s going to renew but I was never sent that and they’re still refusing me a refund. Do not use this company because they do not care about animals or their customers. Update 10/03/23: Wag got in touch with me and said after reviewing the situation they were going to issue me a refund. They said that since I haven’t used their services in over a year it wouldn’t make sense to charge me a subscription fee or issue me a credit. They were polite and I appreciate them calling me and giving me a refund as requested.

I honestly can’t believe this company hasn’t been sued into the ground. I have been dealing with issues since 2019! They never sent walkers for over a day and my dogs got sick and ruined the apartment, causing more than 1300 in damages. They constantly lie about calling you back, miss appointments and calls, and will straight up lie to you. Their claims department is bogus. If you call, they refuse to help and when you ask to speak to a manager, they will tell you no.

Firstly, the assigned walker canceled the appointment, citing that they rely on public transportation, which would take them a staggering 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach my location. This cancellation happened just a few minutes prior to the scheduled time, leaving me and my dogs in a difficult situation. To make matters worse, Wag! found a replacement walker, only to cancel again by 6 pm. At this point, I had no one to take care of my dogs, and the situation became extremely stressful. For a service that boasts about being the best in the business, their treatment of our furry friends was nothing short of disrespectful. When I reached out to Wag! for an explanation and some accountability, all I got was the tired excuse that "walkers are independent contractors." While that may be true, it raises a crucial question: why doesn't Wag! have stricter guidelines in place to ensure the reliability of their walkers? If a walker cannot make it to an appointment, they should simply decline it in the first place. This is how it works with other gig-based services like Uber and Lyft. If you accept a job, you commit to it, plain and simple. Wag! needs to adopt a similar approach to maintain the trust of their customers. In conclusion, my recent experience with Wag! left me deeply dissatisfied and concerned about the service's reliability. If you're looking for a pet care service that you can truly count on, I would recommend exploring alternatives until Wag! addresses these issues and improves their service. Our furry friends deserve better, and so do their owners who rely on this service for their well-being.
