They just sent me an email informing me they "accidentally" exposed the data sharing what doors to my home are locked and where I keep spare keys. So you decide for yourself if that is a good idea for you.

This company is not customer oriented, they are all about the billing! That is exactly what you get when you pay celebrites big money to be on your commercials - is that really who I want taking care of my dogs?? I have found it much better to hire a local pet sitter, someone you can actually get to know instead of a stranger showing up & hoping they are taking good care of my kids.

Any pet parent knows how important trust is when it comes to the care of their dogs. We’re talking about the comfort of a living being that depends solely on others for company and being able to use the bathroom. Wag mishandled my scheduled walk completely! First, the walker was late so I contacted customer service. They told me she wasn’t answering her texts (great!) and were working on getting another walker over ASAP. They offered zero apologies, and acted defensively about the huge mistake. After a slow moving text exchange, they estimated they could have a walker there roughly 2 hours after the scheduled time. I left work early to take care of my poor dog and the worst part was even though I asked them to cancel, the walker (the original one who was now 1.5 hours late) was in my apartment when I got home. She didn’t follow the instructions I left either in regards to his potty spot on our patio where we have some turf laid out (he excitedly pees so we take him right out there so he doesn’t have an accident) I may have considered giving them another shot had they shown any remorse at all. However, the horrible handling infuriated me so much I requested they remove all of my pending walks. Stay far away and pay the extra money to someone who will take proper care of your pet or a reputable walker.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with Wag. I purchased a Groupon and when I tried to redeem it, Wag wouldn’t give me the credits for it. I tried to email them but no response and when I called they said they would take care of it but they didn’t. In the end I had to cancel the Groupon and I didn’t get my money back. In addition, they also wouldn’t let you delete your account, they just deactivate it and keep all your information including your credit card info. I would be very careful when creating an account with them! They did the same to thing to my boyfriends account!

Did you know that Wag sitters may be leaving your dog unattended for 2-3 hours a day? In fact, Wag may be booking walks for your sitter while they're caring for you dog. I realize this may not be an issue for all dogs, but my pup has separation anxiety (which is why I need a sitter with him when I'm out), so I was TOTALLY shocked & angry to learn this. Last weekend, the sitter who was scheduled to watch Cash said she couldn't arrive at the requested time due to a conflict with another walk she had scheduled...in fact, she had 3 walks w/other dogs scheduled during the 8 hours I was counting on her to care for Cash! TOTAL lack of transparency on Wag's part...nothing about this policy on the FAQs or T&Cs on the Wag site or the app. I was told that "Constant Care" is an option for pets with special needs, but there would be an incremental charge...of course there's no mention of this option on the app or the Wag website. Also, "Constant Care" is only an option for sitting (when a sitter comes to your home)...not for boarding (outside of your home). I feel totally misled about the service I was paying for, and Wag customer service has been dismissive of my complaints. #wag #wagwalking #customerservice #fail

They have poor customer service. Poor support for their walkers / employees. Try another service, or support a local dog walker. There are tons.

I will never use Wag again. They lost my dog, Rosie, in Atlanta, GA on January 11, 2018. I am happy to report that after almost 4 days she somehow managed to find her own way back home, BUT she should have never gone missing in the first place. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever gone through - no one should ever have to go through the worry of someone else losing your pet. My dog should have NEVER been lost, but I'd be lying if I said Wag did nothing to help get Rosie back home. They printed hundreds of flyers, a large banner, created posts on social media, coordinated drones to search and there was a woman with a tracking dog on the way to Atlanta from Virginia. I know that this isn't the first time a dog has gone missing while in Wag's care and I think they have learned a little from their mistakes in New York. Since Wag is headquartered in California, communication with them was frustrating and everyone I talked to really didn't know anything about the area Rosie was lost in. They relied on Google Maps, volunteers in their Atlanta dog-walker network and myself to physically search the area and hang all of the flyers. All of the volunteers were incredible and I thank them for everything they did - I just wish my dog had never gone missing in the first place. I appreciate everything Wag did to get Rosie back home, but I will never feel comfortable using their service again or recommending it to anyone.

Horrible service! Didn’t show up in time window and in the meantime sent me multiple messages changing walkers. In the end I had to rush home to let my dog out.
