In the last month alone I've had 3 cancellations and a dog walker who refused to walk my second dog because of a mistake in billing. As much as I wanted to trust Wag walkers once they accepted the job, I've spent days needing to rush back from work early because of these last-minute cancellations, I missed most of a Warriors game because of a last-minute cancellation and have been left in a full day of "will they cancel on me" even after accepting the job 6 hours prior. Not a great experience and I'm not a bad tipper so not sure what's up. Need a trustworthy company that I can count on.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I received a call today that our walker had come to the house but our dog was not here. That the walker had gone through the house calling and searching for our dog, which is a Great Dane puppy weighing 110 pounds, so not easy to miss, and found no dog. Imagine how we felt as we both rushed from important meetings at work to battle 30 minutes of traffic in separate commutes only to arrive at home and find our puppy happy to see us home early. Wag's customer support offered a free walk, but could not explain what happened, and on further examination, we are not comfortable with the possibility that a walker could accept a walk, then cancel it, but now have access to our lock box codes, enter the house, and take our dog while we are at work. No amount of polite apologies from the hapless customer service representative can restore my faith in this service.

Great service! I never experienced an issue with the dog walkers assigned to walk my fur baby.

As another reviewer stated, used to be great. But tonight I was left high and dry with no walker. I had a confirmation at 4:45 that my dog would be walked, and then went through 5 different confirmation/cancellations before finally realizing at 9:30 pm nobody was ever going to come. It’s really irresponsible to leave a dog alone like that. If there were no walkers, fine, but then stop confirming. I could have made other arrangements. Once wag confirmed to me (5 separate times over the course of many hours) that a walker was on their way, it was their responsibility to keep that commitment. Would not use again without a backup plan.

Don't rely on Wag if you care about your dog. With all the media blacklash happening right now, do some research and find yourself an actual competent dog walker.

The service started out great but the past four walks I have requested have been accepted then canceled last minute leaving my pup high and dry. Twice I had to leave work unexpectedly to drive home, walk my own dog, and then drive back to work, which takes way longer than my hour long lunch break. Just yesterday I was four hours away from my home and they cancelled the walk with no notice. This was the final straw. They do not care about your pets and they will cancel your walks without any notice, leaving you to figure out your next best solution. After a lengthy phone call with customer service they also admitted to me that they did not have enough walkers in my area to cover all walks. If they don’t have the coverage then they need to stop offering a service that they can not provide

It was a good run for about a year. Everything up to last month went well, few minor mishaps e.g. cancelling right before the walk but that happens, they were able to re-schedule relatively fast. Last incident got me walk away from their service though. Dog walker somehow manage to get my dog unleashed on our street, which is relatively busy. Nothing gets your heart stop like a text your dog run away.. considering the fact I live in Los Angeles not in a rural area. This should never happen under any circumstances. Left work immediately and luckily was able to catch him. That night I pulled my dog leash little bit harder to see how could he escape and I stopped because I was afraid I actually will hurt him so I can only imagine how hard the walker must have yank the leash. Idk. In the future I hope they spend time and resources to actually train their walkers and not just hire anyone and let them go to work. Pro-Tip: If you find a good walker make him/her your recommended walker and do everything to always schedule that person. Otherwise it’s a game of roulette.
