As always, not everything is perfect out of the box. As a merchant located outside of the US, tax and pricing options are less than perfect. Payment integration is a point which could be improved. They also used to have a lot more themes. But in general it's a great solution even for small businesses like me. Simple enough to handle yourself and lots of possibilities for customization. Customer support has always been very responsive and very competent. What's best about Volusion and sets them apart from many of its competitors is that they don't charge any transction fees. Very happy so far.

The support staff is very helpful. The back end is easy to use. But being a large company that requires a lot of customization, we run into many issues. There are just many things that Volusion can't do/ won't allow. The biggest issue I've experienced is gross overcharging for bandwidth. They are not upfront about it, and then charge (literally) 1000% more than what you could get it for through Google Cloud or AWS. It wouldn't be the biggest deal, but they don't allow you to work around this. You either pay them or you leave Volusion. They try to tell you there is a value add in the framework, payment security, semi-dedicated server space and get this - NEWSLETTERS! But you already get all that with the most basic level of Volusion, it's just how they try to disguise the exorbitant repacking price of bandwidth.

Yes. I was very happy with the way the marketing team. They were very knowledgeable and available. They handled my dilemma very well. I was able to cancel my marketing plan so that I can use the funds for a new marketing venture. I will definitely be using them again.

Platform is old and dated. They have done no meaningful upgrades to it in 15 years. The ecommerce world has developed, evolved, advanced all while Volusion has stood still. My conversion rate is .01% and has been for 7 years. My customers come to the site, they leave because the process is not easy or simple. Volusion offers no solutions to remedy this, unless of course I'm willing to pay for more. The customer service reps I work with are all very friendly. They all have some very basic technical knowledge, but outside of that, they're not much help. It takes 2 to 3 days to get be able to speak to one of these reps, and forget about trying to talk to someone in the technical dept, they must have 3 people that work in that dept. Even Chat, which is supposed to take 5 to 10 mins at most, takes up to 3 hours for them to respond. I have two items that needed to be escalated that directly impact sales and my business, the one took a week and a half. The other has still not been addressed. The first, I have no idea if the situation has actually even been remedied yet.

Volusion is Terrible. The "back end" processing is so clunky and unreliable, it's a wonder we get any sales at all. 99% of the time their tech support people can't give you an answer or solution, and their developers are so busy making un-tested changes live -- on-the-fly -- in a production environment that each problem they "fix" breaks several other "features".

I think that the Volusion team is awesome. They are well knowledge and always there to assist you with all of your questions. My only reason for a 4 is I think they could use some improvement on platforms in Canada that we use for our banking and shipping needs.
