I have a Lykoi (rare breed of cat) and the vet said his skin/coat was really bad and refused to give him vaccines. I informed her he was a rare breed and he looks the way he is supposed to. I checked him from head to toe when I got home, and his skin was clear, and I’ve been told many times he looks very clean and healthy for his breed. I stood in line for 2 hours to be yelled at by a vet who knew nothing about the breed and then was refused treatment.

Disorganized; inexperienced; overpriced
I have two stray cats. One has a record because we've had him for longer. I brought that documentation from the last vet visit with me. But the other was newer, and we brought them to Tractor supply in Great Barrington, Massachusetts through vippetcare to save money, but to get what is required to keep our kitties healthy. They are very disorganized and the vet Dr. Kathryn Eddy and tech assistants had no idea what they were doing. They were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. We came to give them vaccines that are a necessity and routine, but they tacked all these others things onto the invoice as part of a "package".They also didn't know what cat was which. They were in their own pet carriers. They gave nothing visual like a receipt when you're there. They did not send me an invoice whatsoever, I had to call and ask for one due to looking at my credit card statement. Which I immediately questioned the price because it was $348.00 for two cats for basic vaccines. They didn't need to be neutered or sprayed. We had to bring them back for boosters. They questioned what we had done to them the last visit. Which was only one month apart, and they should be keeping an organized medical file for each cat and not relying on me to remember. So I called and spoke with one woman in customer service who transferred me to a manager. The manager Sara was so rude! Her attitude was very unprofessional and basically saying no refunds in any case. And stated I waited too long to question the invoice when I never received one previously. I never got a summary of the vet visit. She didn't want to go through the invoice with me and couldn't seem to understand that I wanted to see an itemized bill for separate cats. How am I supposed to keep a medical record for myself for each cat if they combine it into one invoice? I can't tell who had what done. That makes no sense how you charge me together for both cats and not separately. That's not a medical file. And that's not how you do business. When I stated that with prices so high, that's why people don't care about their animals like they should. You know people just drop their pets off in the streets and vets don't care. Sara stated..."Yea well, that's our prices." She was completely heartless to the fact that vets contribute to homeless pets. One of my cats got the rabies defensor 3 vaccine and a week later he was not drinking, not eating, always sleeping, hiding, not moving, not peeing or pooping, and he was very lame. He hid under my bed and he doesn't ever do that. He loves to eat! He loves his wet food but he wouldn't eat any. Very strange for him. All in all I was charged $348.00 with no visual invoice or receipt. I was trying to save money. My cats were supposed to get the rabies, feline leukemia, and 3 in 1 and it ended up being $348.00. I'm grateful my cats did not die from these visit(s), I was worried about them. We were trying to do the rightful thing by taking them to the vet. I will never ever go through this program again. We should have just went to the vet. Just trying to save money as a pet owner, but this was a costly and unprofessional experience. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM! GO TO THE VET

Manipulated Prices
They say 'Clinic', well it costs more than going to your Vet. They build the price by not being upfront with you. Tell you a list of iems to add for your visit. I agreed on the Lepto vaccine, once given told to return n a month. Return to be charged again for the Lepto vaccine 2nd dose, never told this. Exam is a must, then to be told my dogs ears could not be checked, the Vet has no light on her scope. My dog had been shaking his head, scratching at his ear. Their response: "come back another time", which I did. Vet refused to see my dog without a payment. Very unprofessional, they are greedy with poor care.

Required Exorbitant "Exam" Fee Not In "Upfront Pricing"
I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because of the convenience - a good location, handy hours and no appointment necessary. Their website claims "Upfront Pricing", but my dog's rabies shot had an addition fee of $28 for a required "exam". The dog's procedure (shot and exam) took less than 10 minutes (nice...), but I'm wondering about the thoroughness and necessity of the $28 exam. The emailed summary (nice...) listed temperature, pulse, heartrate and "Physical Exam Note" as WNL (Within Normal Limits...?). So, a total of $56 for a rabies shot. I won't be returning to VIP Petcare.

Care went way downhill over past 2 years.. no longer recommend.
Been using this vet clinic service for almost 20 years. It has gone way downhill in the past 2 years. They refuse to give more than a 12 month supply of a preventive heart worm medication, even though the customer says their dog is getting older and they will only bring in the dog for routine immunizations every 18 months, plus the state mandated rabies vaccine every 3 years. I guess they would rather your dog get heart worm and die than give an extra 6 month refill on HeartGuard Plus.

They offer a half off first visit
They offer a half off first visit, we had told the vet our dog was current on all shots and had already had skin scrapings done. They went ahead and repeated everything we had said she was tested for, told us exactly what we had said, then get presented with a bill for over 250.00 and this is half price. Prescribe her flea and tick meds, said has to be ordered through them. We are still fighting to get her medicine, they have a different vet saying she needs to be seen and examined. Even though the original vet sent in for 11 refills. Then all communication they continue to call her Sadie, and we always point out her name is Athena we do not have a Sadie. Do not go to these people, you get no answers and pay like you are in a emergency vet clinic.

A nightmare of rude human ignorance
A nightmare of rude human ignorance. Bad Reviews are true! but I didn't listen and encountered
A nightmare of rude human ignorance (post Apocalyptic-Pandemic Rude Treatment). Oak Lawn store - The Pets Supply Plus Employees refuse to really offer detailed onboarding instructions bc they stated that "They're a seperate entity " and the Clinic technician refused to help through glass evethough she had "no customers yet".
They are Store Partners and they should act like it - it will only help both partners profits! And help keep mutual customers happy! Think I won't even go to the Pet Store anymore or at least for quite a while. Horrible Experience.

They won't see sick animals
Straight up, they refused to see my sick cat. I waited in line at Petfood Express (no offense to them) in Long Beach. No one said, we don't look at sick animals, as I was checking in. Not while I waited in the parking lot for forty minutes. Only when it was my turn. And it wasn't the veterinarian I spoke with but the assistant who didn't let me explain. Whoever heard of a veterinarian refusing to see a sick animal? Apparently, that's how it works with the Vet, Christine Becker, though.
