VelvetJobsReviews of velvetjobs.com

In the media and entertainment industry, 90% of the job offers received are either from referrals or projects acquired whilst working on current productions. Therefore it's very rare that I need a CV or Resume- and so recently -when asked to produce one - I realized I hadn't updated mine in quite sometime! My format was out of date and missing significant keywords -which I discovered is imperative when computer based systems read your resume before a human does!! I enlisted the help of Velvet and Stephen Klubock. Their expertise and level of knowledge in this area was very impressive. I dealt with a real person- one who really cared to create the best Resume possible and to highlight my achievements in a way that I never could. This was not a template program, or a computer based product- the human approach made the world of difference!! I highly recommend this service! Since Velvet created my resume; I have been contacted by two major networks- I know my resume would not have passed stage one had I submitted my own outdated attempt! Thanks Velvet and Stephen!!

They were very attentive to my needs and communication was quick and thorough! My resume has never looked better!

VelvetJobs sleek design made the site easy to use! LinkedIn integration allowed me to quickly fill inn my resume, simply adding what was missing and allowing me to almost instantly focus on the smaller details that really separate the average resume from the one that ends up at the top of a pile! After 10 years working in the music industry I felt burnt out and wanted to experience a new world, with a long and eventful resume I wanted a really eye-catching design and ended up using VelvetJobs after having searched around for options. After only a very few weeks I was able to land what I consider a dream job, despite strong competition, in the beautiful city of Berlin and I thank VelvetJobs for helping me stay ahead of the curve! Also their customer support is absolutely amazing and I will recommend this service to any job-seeking friend I have now and in the future!

I was pleased with the re-write of my professional resume through VelvetJobs. I worked with a great communications coach who was able to summarize my 30 years of experience, pull out the highlights, and provide suggestions for filling in the details later. We had a lengthy conversation at the beginning of the process - and at the end of our discussions I had a product that I am happy with and able to use in the future. I can definitely recommend the service.

I had such a great experience with VelvetJobs and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Steve and Christina were so helpful and professional. I always got a prompt response. My resume and cover letter turned out better than I expected and I got such great advice along the way. I didn't just get a great resume and cover letter - they showed me a new way of looking at my professional experience that made me so much more confident in my abilities. It had made my job search so much less stressful!

Excellent experience - quick profile set up process, helpful resume builder and access to the types of positions I was looking for.

I have not had a very positive experience with this service. I signed up for the weekly rate for "Premium Membership" about a week ago and really have not seen nor experienced much added value from this service. I have not received any job alerts based on my profile (like most other job boards-most of which are free) and no responses from the multitude of applications I submitted. So when I went into the site to downgrade today (8 days later) I am shocked to find out that they renewed me for another month, rather than just for another week like I was lead to believe. This is VERY MISLEADING, so please beware. There is no phone support, which is a bit concerning to begin with. So the only way to try to resolve this problem is through a generic support email address. I am not optimistic and may have to file a dispute through my credit card. Proceed with caution!!!!!!! I did receive a response the same day following my initial review above. They indicated that they would provide a courtesy refund based on the misunderstanding of their policy. I have since verified that the refund was posted back into my account.

I've been looking for a job in VR for weeks, searching high and low all over the internet. When I found Velvet Jobs I was thrilled to see a number of VR jobs at industry leading companies. I applied for an awesome position that fit my experience perfectly and they just so happened to be holding interviews that same day. I got hired 2 days later! With VelvetJobs I went from being unemployed to having a job that I love in mere days. I'm so glad that I found VelvetJobs and would highly recommend it to anybody in any stage of their career.
