I signed up for $1.95/week to get access to a single job then I kept trying to apply to other things through the site but almost every one of them was a duplicate to LinkedIn or Indeed posts. Many were expired or the link was broken. I just decided to cancel it and found out they've been charging me $39.96 per month. That's more than I expected. I must not have read the terms very thoroughly. UPDATE: I admire a company who wants to make things right. I respect that they reached out very quickly and credited me the fee during the period when I was dissatisfied. I honestly think based on the other reviews that this company has other things to offer that I didn't take advantage of. Seems like a good, honest company.

No complaints. Everyone I spoke to is very friendly and easy to talk to. My resume looks amazing and professional. I would highly recommend for anyone that wants a change of career and needs help to find that perfect job.

I have a very specific skill set (accounting in the entertainment industry, not Liam Neeson skills) that makes it harder to apply for general accounting jobs that don't involve royalties. This company helped me put together the perfect resume (they had awesome tools on their site) to get me going in any field I choose, and the help with interviews and presentation via the Content and Insights pages were amazing. I'm notoriously weak in interviews but the info there helped me learn how to smile, ask for what I want, and even get that elusive second interview! I've got some good things in the pipeline using the resume they helped me put together, and I'm confident that if I don't get this position, Velvet Jobs will have something to help me land one.

It was such an amazing experience working with Christina Murphy and her crew at Velvet Jobs. She was very accommodating to our needs regarding employees onboarding. Explained step by step how the process works and responded to our questions in a timely manner. I felt very comfortable in knowing ex-employees using this service were in good hands in preparing for their job search. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone!

Megan was great. She asked all the right questions and really listened to me. The first draft wasn't very far off from the final version. My resume represents my skills and experience told in my voice but in a format that is expected with hiring managers. I'm very proud of what we have come up with and that will come into play as I move forward with my search.

I needed to cancel my VelvetJobs subscription because I hadn't been using the service and needed the money. I thought for sure I would be denied a refund of the new charge, so when my bank needed an immediate answer as to whether I wanted to stop payment on the new monthly fee, I said yes because it was much cheaper ($20) than the unusual month fee plus a bank courtesy fee ($70). Then, to my amazement, VelvetJobs' support person Christine not only gave me a refund, but also, it was for TWO months because they don't want to be a hardship for customers. I knew this would mean they would be out an additional one-month fee because they were refunding me a payment i would be stopping, so I wrote and asked them to let me know how I could return the extra month fee -- but they said I didn't have to! I very rarely find an internet company willing to refund a fee at all, so VelvetJobs is in a class by itself. Thanks!!!
