My representative Satish Mistry was very professional, personable and extremely knowledgeable. He was great with follow up and gave me guidance for my job search. The VelvetJobs team Shannon and Satish did a great job from start to finish. Thank you.

I was recently seeking a new role as an HR Manager and was lucky enough to be referred to Velvet Jobs for a resume review and rewrite. I had no idea I was going to have the best resume update and coaching call I could possibly get! I was matched with Luann Horobin who not only reviewed my "3 page" resume but she applied all of her recruiting, coaching and behavioral science knowledge and reduced my resume down to a very professional and thorough one page resume! I also got a revamp of my cover letter that I could easily customize for different roles. Luann took the time to explain the changes to me and how I could relay my extensive experience in key phrases and positioning. I was really needing an update as I had everything and the kitchen sink on my resume for years. I was employed within weeks and could not be more grateful!

I have been video editing professionally since college and I felt like it was time for a change. I wanted to find a position as a post-production supervisor and I actually got one a few weeks after Velvet Jobs worked on my resume. What more could you ask for?

This is honestly one of the best websites I've ever used to get a resume created. Templates were easy to understand, the building block feeling make understanding structure very intuitive. I would like to see more more bullet points options in every selection and maybe an option for user to import options for select roles you don't have listed. If you guys every do a creative resume option please let me know. Keep up the great work

I had the pleasure of working with Tom Patria during this process. While losing a job can be a stressful situation, Tom was encouraging and continued to be uplifting while at the same time being an excellent coach. We practiced for reviews, updated my resume and prepared for answering tough questions. In addition, we updated my LinkedIn profile to best reflect my skills. I spoke with Tom about the pursuance of certifications and their efficacy regarding which ones were "worth pursuing" based on market trends. I loved working with Tom and appreciated his easy going demeanor as well as his very direct and honest feedback. My previous company paid for the service, however, I believe that it would have been worth the cost and I would have paid for it myself based on my experience. The end result, I landed a great job which was a step up in position, responsibilities and salary and I feel that Tom was instrumental in that outcome. If you follow the process and act on the advice, you greatly increase your chances for success.

VelvetJobs placed me with a consultant to get my resume and cover letters rewritten. She was knowledgeable and provided a quick turnaround. The only negative part was that she tried a few times to sell me her services outside of VelvetJobs. VelvetJobs responded to this review in a prompt manner and fixed the issue, thus I have edited my review from four to five stars.

The woman originally assigned to me did not have good follow-thru but then Velvet Jobs re-assigned me to Amanda, who has been amazing! She gets back to me quickly and has provided a great update to my old resume. Amanda is a rock-star!

Sue did a wonderful job on my resume and coaching me for interviews. This wasn't my first rodeo with Out Placement, since layoffs are common in the high tech industry but this was the best experience so far. Outplacement is important, because the landscape of job search changes every 5 to 10 years. The one on one experience was wonderful and got complements on the layout of my resume.
