Every time I place an order with Van Dyke's, the postage costs the same or more than the product. One $8.00 key cost me $8.13 in "shipping and handling costs." Whassup wid dat? You'd think they could pop it in an envelope and send it USPS for a buck or two.

I ordered pulls and knobs for 23 cabinets in my old farmhouse which we have been renovating. The Berenson collection were perfect. Cost was as expected for the quality of the pieces. They arrived more than a week before Van Dyke's told me to expect them (they had to be shipped from a warehouse as they were not in stock). Highly recommend Van Dyke's for any restoring you plan on doing.

I wasn't planning on writing a review, mainly b/c I think they are often misleading (most people only write bad reviews and rarely does a co. get credit for good reviews. But Van Dykes sent me 2 emails asking me to review them so here goes: I rated them poorly b/c of their cust. svc., not due to their products. I needed to return an item for something else and the first annoying experience was filling out their obsolete returns form that looked like it was from 1974. They sent the new item and it was not only the wrong item, but it was packed so poorly in the box that it arrived in pieces. After many phone calls, I eventually got the right item sent. Then, they wanted me to send a photo of the broken item I never ordered. Whole process was frustrating although the products are fine. I think they need to hire more skilled people and have better quality control oversight. I get the feeling its a total dumpster show in their factory.
