Unfortunately, everything went wrong with this move. We only had 8 pieces of furniture and 3 boxes (5 pieces were small). Aiden Morris at Value Added wanted me to call with any questions, but then never returned my calls or my text messages. The moving company they engaged for our move (Unlimited Moving & Storage) called to say they would pick up between 2 and 6 but showed up at 9:38p. They were to have bubble wrap for my 3 antiques but had no bubble wrap, so I took one fragile antique off the move list. Abraham Camara with Unlimited said he would call me mid-morning to discuss the delivery, but never called. Abraham said he would come back with bubble wrap for the antique, but never came back. I went 2 full days without hearing from anyone; then found out Abraham had a family emergency and moved our furniture to another third party. Once the third party arrived and found we had additional steps, they wanted 25% more, even though Abraham had said he would deliver without an additional charge due to all the issues they had (lateness, no bubble wrap, small number of pieces, etc.). When I spoke with Abraham, he said he had told me I would be at the "discretion of the new company," but that was never said as I would have questioned what that meant. After much cursing from Abraham, he then hung up on me. In the end, the third party put the furniture in our garage, and we had to move it ourselves. Please don't ever use Value Added Moving or Unlimited Moving & Storage. It was an horrendous experience I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Do not use this company. I would have given them 0 stars if allowed. 1. They are a broker not a moving company. They farm out your order to the lowest drivers. 2. They call you immediately to offer a low ball quote then after receiving that money they raise your fees .. you cannot get a refund of the original payment. 3. They send you an online contract that states (in fine print) that they can be up to 2 days late in picking up or delivering your furniture. That’s what I was told by Justin at the company when my pickup date and time was changed 6 times in two days. 4. Very poor communication. We dealt with Samantha who says “I will call you right back”. But she never does. We will never ever use this company again. Our furniture was supposed to be picked up on a Friday morning at 0900. It was not picked up until Saturday night at 8:30 pm. It was delivered 10 days later in 2 shipments. I do not know how the belongings were split between two shipments. They were all picked up together. My dishes arrived broken. A few of the packing boxes were covered in something black that stained my new carpet.

Stay well clear of these brokers. Absolutely terrible service, from start to finish. Move out date 28th, turned up a day late, guaranteed delivery on the 1st, Sat here on the 5th. More than doubled initial quote for the move with some sketchy calculations, disassembled all furniture upstairs in my property, then require an extra payment on reception side to re-build the furniture upstairs because there were 17 steps on my stairs..... PLEASE, for the love of god, don't be like me and think you're getting a good deal. These guys are the epitome of the moving industry at the moment, Scamming Con Artists who prey on people who have no other option but to pay the extra costs that they invent.

This is the lowest score I could give them. I'm a veteran and watching how they handled my best bestfriend's move was revolting. They under sold him by 2k for his move and then threatened him with legal action. O accountability, 0 standing with the BBB. I would not work with them EVER.

Worst experience ever. Please read the fine print from the broker. My shipment was approximately 700 miles. Much of of furniture was damaged or destroyed. Large screen tv looks as though a forklift ran thru the box. Antique furniture legs broken off tables. Heavy items were placed on top of table until legs snapped off. They were delivered me the furniture and handed pieces of legs to me. To many items to describe that were damaged . Never once have heard from these people that contracted move with S&A movers out of Hoboken NJ. Thousands of dollars worth of damage. The worst experience of my life. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT contact with these people.

I will refer to employees of Value Added Moving as, employee A, B, C and so on. I first contacted Value Added Moving because they claimed to be Veteran owned and operated, and me being a Veteran that was important to me. I was looking for someone to move my 3 bedroom, 2 bath 2 car garage house with a 2 person Jacuzzi from Arizona to Texas. When i first called I spoke with employee A. He asked me some questions and I gave him a general idea what was going and he said I could update the inventory at anytime. Original quote was around $3400. About a week later i needed to update the inventory. I called then and employee B answered the phone and told me someone would call me when it got closer to Moving time. I said I needed to update it ASAP. After a back and forth with employee B, I was transfered to Employee C. After I told Employee C what was going on he has employee A call me back and after updating my inventory a couple more times, I even added 15 medium boxes to my inventory to prevwnt any sudden charge when the movers showed up. Keep in mind these 15 boxes never even existed. My final quote$7400. This includes a 5x7x8 U-Box. Moving day arrived and the first words out of the movers mouth was, They didn't schedule a big enough truck. Value Added Moving only scheduled 1200 square feet for all our stuff. The boxes and the U-Box alone was 500 square feet. That leave 700 square feet for the rest. Total was 3200 square feet. For a new payment of 13K and I had to be out by monday. I call Value Added Moving and employee B answers and tells me that if that is what they are saying I have to pay then that's what I have to pay. At this point im pissed. I would call and no one would answer. I didnt hear anything from anyone there until the following monday when I got a call from employee C and was told there was nothing they will do for me. Ibwas driving accross new mexicao at that monent and after a heated conversation with that employee i hung up and once I stopped I texted employee C and told him how pissed and upset I was and employee replyed with the 1800 number for the VA Suicide Hotline. For the record im not nor will I ever be suicidal. IMO employee C did that because he new my disability and did ut to Mock me. They lie from the beginning and do not care I bit about you or your stuff. Their reviews on here speak truth to that. I could not warn people hard enough, DO NOT USE VALUE ADDED MOVING. RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN. DO NOT TRUST THEM AT ALL.

Moving broker Bad experience

Do not use this company. First of all this is a shipping broker so they coordinate with a shipping company to move your stuff. I was warned to not use any company in Florida but I didn’t listen and unfortunately it cost me a lot of money. When the movers arrived I was told my items exceeded the space of the estimate. The estimate was no where near the actual price it would cost to move my stuff and instead of paying around 2k, I was told it would cost me almost 4K. Because I’m moving in less then a week I had no other option than to pay the 4K. Do not use this company. They will give an estimate and then the movers arrive, it will cost a lot more than the estimate. This company is dishonest. Update 10/30/2025: I called to speak with the manager and the representative hung up on me. I believe the reviews they have are fake as well. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
