As many others, I would give less than 1 star if I could. Do not fall prey to this brokerage group or work with Salesperson Marcus Price, quality assurance Michael, customer service Justin. I'd say those are not their real names anyway, because you'll never speak to anyone after they get your money. This is a bait and switch operation. We moved a 5 bedroom house from San Diego to Bend, OR. Paid for a 53 ft truck, full house pack. When packing team arrived, they assessed the cubic feet on contract was for 1/2 a semi (26 ft truck) so they demanded an additional payment (more than double) the agreed price to pack and load our full house.Move went from $14k for full pack, load, drive, unload to $27K. Contract was written in cubic feet and translated to 1/2 (26 ft) truck even though we did a full FaceTime video walk through with Marcus, every item shown, closets opened, art counted, garage walkthrough. Marcus told us we needed a full semi truckload of 53 feet to accommodate everything. We never discussed cubic feet, only truck size. Do not pay a penny before reading the contract through and making sure specific items discussed are in writing. Sales will say anything to get your business, the contract will not line up with things guaranteed during the sales call. Deposits are non-refundable. You'll never get sales on the phone again. We ultimately had to bring in a separate crew to pack and move the remaining items at a fair price but paid another $7k and few more days to get moved. Absolute nightmare working with Value Added Movers. Packing team were hires from Craigslist. Same with unloading team. They had no clue how to pack. Full boxes of fragile glassware and China were broken upon unpack. We were told furniture would be wrapped in blankets for protection, then wrapped with cellophane. It was paper and then plastic wrapped. Complete mess on unload day with paper and plastic everywhere and movers left it all behind. I'm still in shock from this experience. There is so much more I need to add but I hope you learn from my misfortune. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY under any circumstance no matter what the price is or how 'honest' your salesperson is.

TLDR: They ILLEGALLY withdrew money from my account! $3,600!! Then tried to coerce me into using them by refusing to return my funds... I contacted this company for a moving quote and was initially quoted a little over $7,000. About a month later, the quote increased to approximately $10,500. During follow-up conversations, the representative (Jakob) stated multiple times that the booking deposit would be fully refundable, could be split into payments, and that a payment plan was available for the remaining balance. Before proceeding, I stated clearly that I would not move forward until I could review the final contract. I was told my banking information would be needed only to finalize and send the contract—not to process payment. After reviewing the contract, I found MULTIPLE contradictions to what had been verbally represented, including NON-refundable deposit language and broad discretionary fees. There was even a section stating you waive all rights to dispute any additionalcharges once you book!! I decided not to proceed and had NOT signed or accepted the contract. Before I could notify them, the company withdrew $3,600 from my bank account via ACH without any written, verbal, or electronic authorization. When I contacted the company: One representative acknowledged the payment should not have been processed and said the person who did that had been fired. Another refused to issue a refund and claimed that providing banking information alone constituted authorization. This person stated that I can't want to partially honor a contract (one I never even authorized!) And that I would just have to use them as my moving company.... This is incorrect. No contract was executed and no ACH authorization was provided. I immediately disputed the charge with my bank, closed my account to prevent further withdrawals, and notified the company in writing. My bank ultimately reversed the charge. Additional concerns: After leaving one factual warning comment on the company’s Facebook page, I was blocked, preventing further communication or visibility. Their Facebook page appears to receive frequent clusters of overly generic positive reviews, which stood in stark contrast to my experience and raised concerns about review authenticity. You can even look at the profiles leaving the reviews and they all have the SAME scam posts on them... I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision. Any company willing to withdraw thousands of dollars without authorization—and then refuse to correct it—shouldn't even exist, let alone be used. Please please don't fall for this giant scam.

Scam Alert 🚨.

I reached out to this company after seeing an add on social media. I specifically asked if they were a freight broker or a moving company. I’m aware of the difference and wanted to deal directly with a company from start to finish. The service reps assured me they were not brokers. That was the first lie. I was quoted a price and told after I paid my deposit (with a credit card) the remaining balance would be split in half, with half payable on pickup and the remaining balance paid on delivery. I was shipping the equivalent of a one bedroom apartment from Alabama to Maryland. The movers called before their scheduled pickup time of 8:00 AM and told me they could not get to me until 6:00 PM that night. I told them that was not acceptable and after wrangling with Value Added Moving on the phone, the move was rescheduled to the next day. Once they got to my home and started loading, they claimed I had more items than expected and they needed to rebox or wrap some of my items, which was an additional cost. Once they finished loading the driver came in and said that what was owed for the move was now double what we were quoted. In addition, we learn the deposit we had paid was a fee for Value Added Moving and none of it was applied to the cost of the move! We were also told we could only pay with cash, Zelle, or CashApp. We couldn’t use the credit card we had booked with. This was not what was told to us on booking. After we paid the ransome for them to take the load, the driver asked if we were going to “take care of him” meaning he wanted a tip. We felt strong armed as they had our merchandise. On the agreed upon delivery date, the contracted movers called and said they weren’t going to make it and pushed it back to the next day. When they arrived, they refused to take furniture upstairs without an additional fee. They claimed the fee was 200.00, but they would do it for 100.00. The contract only said an additional fee could apply for FLIGHTS of steps, which we were told meant multiple flights of steps, not one flight which is standard in most homes. Overall, the experience was awful. If it was possible to give zero stars, that’s what they would get. I don’t recommend them.

Absolute liars. Said what I needed to hear to give them the business. Then did not follow through at all. Two unaffiliated drivers showed up, 3 hours late when we made arrangements for a morning pick up so we could hit the road. Proceeded to take a video of all our stuff...after I told him that I provided all pictures to Aiden - still took the video, came back 10 minutes later and said that the home office said it will be an additional $4,000+ when they deliver. Mind you we had a remaining balance of $2,300...so to be hit with a remaining balance of over $6,000, was out of the question. Aiden said he would be with us every step of the way...multiple calls and text messages - he was NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. Called the next day after we refused service - to inquire about my refund..."no, thank you, have a nice day and happy holidays" and they hung up. Total scam artists!! All of this happened after they first told us that they would not be delivering ont he 17th...that it was actually going back to Portland to the warehouse and waiting for a semi...no idea on date or time other than they had 10 days to deliver. Again...part of the deal we made was that it would be delivered on the 18th. Lies.

SCAMERS!!! RUN I received 5 quotes total before moving forward with them. I spoke to them 4 times before arrival. I asked and confirmed if there is anyway my price would increase, and was told not unless my inventory changed. I confirmed my inventory twice. Random text messages came through about the move from personal numbers to verify wrong pickup dates and I should have followed my gutt but I'd booked almost 2 months in advance was going from MI to NYC. They arrived and wanted cash, Zelle, or cashapp before they put my items on an already packed PENSKY truck. They said the price would be the same as I was quoted as long as everything fit but the couldn't tell me ahead of time if my price would change or if my items would fit on the oacked truck. They refused to tell me upfront if my price would be different but said they were sure it would be fine. I called Value Added to force a price before you load the truck and take more money. They wanted to charge $4k more than the quote. Tried to claim I was canceling because I demanded my quoted rate. Customer service yelled at me and told me I wasn't getting any money back. I told them what would you do if I can't pay the bill because I don't have an extra $4k, and was told I'd be put on a payment plan until it was fully paid and that's when I'd get my belongings. Now I have to rent a truck and drive my house 10 hours and am out of over $1k.

THEIVES!! CON ARTISTS!! LIARS!! Value Added Moving [VAM] LIED, saying they'd take care of us to end of our move! Read on... VAM LIED when I asked for owner operated service in SoCal; they said they own trucks in SoCal; they don't own any trucks. VAM LIED about their process saying a visual inspection would confirm the accuracy of their estimate and then load on another date... VAM took 50% deposit, but 2 days before move, they call saying we need to accommodate them to a move the next day [THANKSGIVING DAY], because they "overbooked" OR we must reschedule for a later 'to be determined date' to load and move; we'd already made arrangements to move into an apartment in another state; we were FORCED to accept their MOVE DATE instead of the one we had contracted with them. We were assigned to contracted M&R Movers, from Texas; Value Added Moving LIED saying M&R was their "Top Tier" and "Primiere" company; M&R has 1 truck and 2 employees, and recently regained their business license after having it suspended. M&R movers showed up to our storage unit hours late and said our cubic feet estimate from Value Added Moving was no good, and added 67% to the cost original cost contracted by Value Added Moving. Again we're forced to pay or we can't be moved. The next day, M&R says our delivery date must be changed and says legally they have up to 30 to deliver. We were given no delivery date of possession, and still have no confirmed date to receive our possessions, though we have an apartment with no bed to sleep in, and no home utensils, or other furniture ot extra clothes. VALUE ADDED MOVING CUSTOMER SERVICE was called and we were rudely treated; they said, 'You have a contract with M&R not us.' They take no care of customers and provide no service. Value Added Moving are theives! They TOOK money in a deposit, them passed us off to another rouge moving company and disavowed themselves of any responsibility to fulfill their original contract. I've documented proof.
