Worked with Andrew and was a fantastic experience. If I ever need solar parts in the future this would be a place I would easily recommend.

Quality and customer support
One of the things I value the most when making any purchase on line is customer support. Unfortunate after the sale is made not many company stand behind their products to answer legit customer question or complain. Believe me I have been burned many time with this. With US Solar I have experienced not only good quality in their products they sale but are very fast resolving any legit complain.

Deceptive $99 pricing with predatory $559 shipping fees
This company uses deceptive bait-and-switch pricing tactics. They advertise individual solar panels for only $99.00.Then they add a mandatory $559.00 shipping fee. This fee does not reflect legitimate freight shipping costs. It is an unadvertised markup on the product.I confronted Sales Director Andrew Kurtz about this.He stated they will not give product away. This admission proves the low price is fake. They hide real product costs inside delivery fees.Avoid this business to protect your money.
Under federal guidelines, businesses are prohibited from utilizing bait-and-switch pricing or obscuring total costs. According to the FTC Deceptive Fees Guidance, any excluded shipping charges must reasonably reflect the business's actual costs to transport the physical goods. Tacking on a mandatory $559.00 shipping fee onto a $99.00 item to hide the product's true markup is an unfair and deceptive practice.

Anthony,
We're sorry for the disappointment. Truthfully, if you're only ordering a single panel, the shipping can absolutely feel high.
The challenge is that solar panels don't ship like typical e-commerce products. Whether you order 1 panel or 30 panels, they generally need to travel on a protected freight pallet and move through the LTL freight network to arrive without damage. Those costs are largely driven by the pallet, handling, and freight lane—not the value of the panel itself.
That's one reason we typically recommend a minimum of 8 panels - and was the case here as well. The shipping cost often stays relatively similar as additional panels are added, making the delivered cost per panel much more economical.
We also want to be clear that these are actual freight charges, not hidden product markups. More often than not, we absorb additional shipping costs that are never passed on to customers when carrier invoices exceed quoted rates. We wish we could offer more economical shipping for single-panel orders, but we're ultimately subject to the realities of the freight market and shipping supply chain.
We certainly do not aim to have deceptive anything. Our customers specifically value transparence and are the first to point out anything we don't have on a listing. We've already shipped 100s of these panels to customers across the country, many of whom have shopped multiple suppliers and still found us to be the best overall value—even after shipping is included. The reality is that suppliers selling sub-pallet quantities of solar panels are all working within the same freight system, and none of us can escape standard freight rates.
In many cases, for someone looking for a single panel, finding a local source may genuinely be the better answer.
We wish you the best of luck finding a solution that works for your budget. We certainly didn't want to mislead you, and we're sorry we weren't the right fit for your project today.

Worst experience in a very long time
Very limited product info online for what I ordered, and they were unable to provide further info over the phone. Received a non usable product due to dimensions and despite this being a simple battery cable, they have a zero returns policy. Awful company, go somewhere else.
Response from US Solar SupplierJun 18, 2026
Hi Brian, Very sorry to hear about your poor experience. We most definitely have a return policy - it can be found here. https://ussolarsupplier.com/pages/refund-policy
It does look you were beyond the designated return time, but I'll reach out in email.
Unfortunately, products like the Pytes Cable Set don't often come with full spec sheets. Regardless - we try to carry the most accurate information on our 4000+ products. Sometimes there is less published to pull from the manufacturers and we are sorry this resulted in a negative experience!

Appreciate the feedback Mr. Lange. We fully appreciate that having the materials on the job site as soon as possible is the goal. It indeed looks like this shipped out 48 hours past our forecasted shipping terms - sending you a credit in your email for the inconvenience!

Buyer Beware
**update 5/5** An overnight shipping label for most of the unshipped items has been created. They arranged this at my request so that I could begin the installation while the lengths of rail are freight shipped. I now have confirmation that the rail is also on the way to me and my order is finally complete. I’ll update this review again once everything has arrived, but I don’t anticipate any further issues. It would have been better if my order had just been processed correctly and didn’t require “special attention” but in the end the management of US Solar Supplier went above and beyond to resolve this issue to my satisfaction. Don’t wait 2 or 3 weeks like I did to inquire about the status of your order!
**update 4/30** A few hours after posting the complaint and review below, I received a phone call from Robert, the President/CEO of US Solar Supplier. He acknowledged the company has not done a good job with this and offered to refund the freight fee for the entire order (a substantial amount) and expedite sending all of the missing pieces from the order tomorrow 5/1. I have been told to expect tracking information for the rest of my order to be available 5/1. I will update this review again when the tracking # starts moving. I still don’t have a clear understanding of what happened exactly, but I do have some confidence now that the problem will be resolved soon.
Buyer Beware: I placed order #9097 with US Solar Supplier on 4/9/26. The order contained (16) solar panels and all of the associated racking to install them on a roof in 2 strings, a grand total of 155 items. I received an order confirmation email later that same day. The text of that email is copied and pasted below…….
Thank you for your purchase!
We're getting your order ready to be shipped. We will notify you and send tracking when it has been sent. Please note orders will be shipped within 7-14 business days of purchase unless otherwise noted.
My Chase Visa was charged for the full amount of the order on 4/11/26. I waited patiently until 4/22/26 when I sent an email inquiring about the shipping status of the order. I received a reply quickly and the text of that reply is copied and pasted below……..

to me
Mr. Cote:
Thanks for reaching out.
Our orders typically ship in 7-10 business days. This is not determined by whether something is in stock or not, but because of the number of orders we receive.
Unfortunately, our warehouse is swamped right now and we are trending more toward the ten than the seven business days. We will contact fulfillment and request they move your order up in the queue.
USSS
The solar panels drop-shipped from a different vendor in Florida on 4/22. At that time the shipping status for the other 139 items (all “Sunmodo” brand) changed to “preparing for shipping”. Today is 4/30/26 and I have no further update about the shipping status of those items. I emailed on 4/28 asking if they intend to send the racking or not and I have not received a response yet. I contacted Sunmodo directly via email on 4/29 and don’t have a response yet.
I will be following up with Chase bank because they do not allow vendors to charge for items that have no expected arrival date. The “7-14 business days” the USSS confirmation email allows them have expired and I have no tracking number or expected arrival date for 139 of the 155 items in the order. The folks at USSS seem to think this is acceptable, I disagree.
Do yourself a favor:
Type US Solar Suppliers physical address in Kentucky into Google maps and have a look……ask yourself, does this look like the location of a large stocking warehouse dealer where I want to make a substantial purchase?
The only reason I placed this order with US Solar Supplier is because I wanted everything to ship from one location in KY so a problem like this didn’t happen. Well, lesson learned. I will not order from US Solar Supplier again and I would recommend against it for sure.
They shipped nothing until I complained 13 days after the order was confirmed. Then, only the panels, drop-shipped from FL. Still, no useful update of any kind about the racking.
I realize that the employees of USSS don’t care, at all, but I really shouldn’t need to point out to some “industry professionals” that the panels are completely useless without a means of installing them. Once again, that is why I placed the order as a single order from one source.
The panels are scheduled to arrive today, 4/30, via ABF freight. Everything needed to install them is “preparing for shipping” as it has been since 4/22. That is the most recent update.
Could someone at US Solar Supplier please prove me wrong and just send me what I bought and paid for 21 days ago?
