I switched to this service as it was an inexpensive alternative for me as I seldom use the phone and data but still need it for traveling when I am in the US. I was out of the country for 8 months and returned to nothing working. Finally got the service working again (an hour long chat) only to find that data does not work, Also there seems to be a lot places the phone is not registered so not working (useless). On top of no data this service has been basically useless. At the airport coming in the phone would not register so I had no phone and had to borrow someone else’s who was nice enough to let me so I could call my pickup as we arrived in a different terminal. Semi emergency and useless, Today I had another hour to kill so got on a chat and finally got the data working, albeit, it is SUPER slow. If all you need is a few minutes of spotty phone time, maybe this would work for you, but I guess I am going to have to find another alternative. Oh, and then then tech support suggests all my problems would be solved if I upgrade to “premium service”....

This is a zero, so bad I thought there should be a class action lawsuit against these people AND sure enough there is search for it under class action dot organization. They deserve this lawsuit. They are taking off parts of normal cell operation and now they added a final insult...the "latest important update" takes away the ability of the phone to ring! Also no voice mail. Cell txting is intermittently available. No response from the "support" people except to suggest you sign up for a new plan at many times the cost.

The app is not working 80% of the time, one cannot receive calls or make calls for days or hours, nor receive texts most of the time, you also cannot receive texts from banks etc. (which I could with the same SIM card a year before, but Unreal seem to have automatically downgraded me), and nearly all calls that you receive go automatically into voicemail when your phone is turned on and even with the app open. They will also not tell you that you cannot receive texts from banks etc. Voice calls have if they work terrible quality. Even if a call gets through to a regular number, most of the time you need to restart your phone after every call. Also the app is a complete nightmare and completely useless. Customer service also does not reply for those through the messaging service and obviously I cannot call them as I cannot call anyone most of the time. If you ever want to use your phone for calls or texts, or anything reliable, stay away from UNREAL MOBILE, it is a complete nightmare. The service also got noticeable worse since the end of 2019 where they just also starting charging 3 USD randomly as a service fee on all plans in addition to what is advertised by them. Even the internet blacks out from time to time or is getting 2G slow or worse.

I purchased 3 months of prepaid service for Unreal Mobile from ebay and thought it was on the premium plan. It turned out the sim card is still on the standard classic plan which is no longer sold on their website. Anyways, the voice service is not very good and you can't receive text messages from banks, etc to confirm phone number. It's cheap but only good for internet service. I tried calling Unreal mobile to see if I can get my balance transferred to premium plan even though it is both unreal mobile plan.

very bad experience on Unrealmobile. they spent one week still not able to port in my phone number and refuse to refund when I say i want to leave because of no service.

Update 6/25/2020: Was able to port in an hour or less. A little tricky because when I downloaded the settings, it said Red Pocket. I did the direct settings and got everything to work. Cell service is great. No complaints really. I just purchased this service and have yet to use it. Was researching on how long porting of my number will be to Unreal. I cam across the reviews here. Not sure if I'm just lucky or what, but I was able to speak with an agent within 5 minutes. Chat support takes a little longer, for some odd reason. I'll update this review if I encounter the same crap you all did.

Update to update 6.30.20 -Unreal tries to fob me off my offering partial refund, in attempt to stop FCC investigation. I say OK to refund. But of course, 3 weeks later, surprise, NO refund has arrived and all is silence at Unreal Mobile. Don't get tangled with these people (see other similar reviews). Just fraud, bad faith and chicanery. First Update: 6.8.20 Unreal Mobile hustled to respond to this review by offering me a Customer Support tel. # which has no person who answers it. HAhahahahahahaha still laughing here. Unreal Mobile is a ridiculous hole of no customer service and poor phone, text and data non-functions. Do not fall for cheap price. While it is inexpensive, they force you into a annual plan and then haha, provide nothing that works. I suspect this is as Unreal sales folks were pumping up customer base before they were purchased by another company. Then bad service became nonexistent. Phone stopped notifying me of incoming calls, and voice mail messages are not able to be replayed. Despite contacting them for the last month, and reporting them to FCC, they have done nothing to rectify this issue. I see other customers have been treated to this same service.
