TERRIBLE!!
TERRIBLE!!! Everyone I spoke with seemed to be in a foreign country. No-one knew what was going on with activating my account and kept asking questions I had ALREADY answered. I provided the name of my current mobile company and the Security PIN so they could port my phone number to Unreal Mobile and 5 days later and multiple phone calls, they still had not ported over the number. Then I had to battle with them to cancel the service and get my refund. DO NOT go to Unreal Mobile. FYI- There is NO customer service after 5pm Pacific time M-F and after 4pm on Sat & Sun, so if you need assistance, you are screwed.
Look at their response. I spoke with no less than 6 people and kept getting put on hold and transferred to the next person who had no clue about what was occurring. I REPEATEDLY told them who my current carrier was and the PIN number for porting, and after a WEEK, they still had not ported my phone number. Go to Pure Talk USA. I gave the same information and one hour later my phone was ported over to them. And after a couple weeks, I've had excellent phone service with Pure Talk USA.

Absolutely GOD-AWFUL
Edit for the reply: I traded messages with your awful customer service long enough. You CONSTANTLY marked my concerns as addressed via your ticket tracker when they were not. I have ZERO faith in your 'customer service' system. The funniest thing was you wouldn't port my number which was already associated with your service. Terrible. Never again.
Absolutely GOD-AWFUL. They changed their service a few months ago and so I had to create a new login. They were rolling out this 'upgrade to premium voice' thing that required us to have new SIM cards installed. I followed instructions to have my number ported over - only it never was. Activation took forever and gave me a new number. Contacted support about this and they didn't help at all, and then eventually kept marking my inquiry as solved when it was NOT. Their website is buggy as hell. I had service but it didn't even show it on their website - the 'my lines' section was empty. That's when I could even log in at all. I had to change my password every time I wanted to log in, and just today I tried to again - no matter what I did, I could not log in. Everything about this company is horrible. Don't be fooled by their replies here. All of the apologies in the world won't fix your terrible, god-awful customer service and buggy website. The service was somewhere between bad and okay, but what you'd pretty much expect for $10 a month. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Going to try tello, now - which is the same price per month.

I bought a prepaid card because I was…using the plan for a kids smart watch.
I bought a prepaid card because I was trying to activate a smart watch for my kids. I realized the watches were not going to work. I returned them to Amazon. I also tried to cancel Unreal Mobile but I have not been successful. I have been getting charged by Unreal Mobile since December 2019. But whenever I go to the website to cancel it tells me that my credentials are not valid. So I try to reset my password but then says there is no user with my email. I know the email is valid because I receive emails from them. I can never get a hold on anyone. I wish I had read reviews before I even bought their prepaid card because they will charge you but won’t provide an actual service. If you write a negative review they will respond to your review with the same generic response how this is not the experience they want for their customers which is untrue because all the reviews say the exact same thing about their customer service and lack of service. I bet the positive reviews they have were written by them.

They SUCK big time
They SUCK big time. Me and my husband bought this, I wasn't able to activate mine (they're error) but they kept on Charging my account for 5 months now. I wasn't even able to use it. My husband can't receive calls if he's not connected to a Wifi!!! Now I have the Mint, which works better.

I transferred my number from RedPocket…
I transferred my number from RedPocket to Unreal. I had a great experience with RedPocket. I moved to Unreal for a better price. I am happy with the move. Until this moment, I have no issues. I am using a normal sim card. No app for calling. I see most of the negative reviews for WiFI calling, so I avoided that.

Unreal Mobile - Everything is Bad
You have to do everything through the Unreal app, which is not a problem for me. However, I realized I was missing calls and could not receive voicemails.
I needed a reliable phone provider, so I decided to transfer to a different carrier.
However, Unreal Mobile is making this impossible. I have been trying to transfer to Xfinity Mobile (who has been great for my wife), but my number is still stuck with Unreal Mobile for over 2 months now. I have troubleshooted this many times with both Unreal and Xfinity on the phone. However, Unreal does not have the capability to troubleshoot their side. They use a 3rd party port provider, Inteliquent, and they can only contact them by email.
Here is a timeline of my experience trying to port out my number so far:
Early June - I had been trying to port out my number to Xfinity Mobile. However, I was unable to complete the port out request from Unreal Mobile. I followed Unreal's exact instructions on the Unreal site/portal, and I was using the correct information.
June 4 - I first emailed Unreal about the port out issue.
June 7 - I was already paying for Xfinity Mobile, and I needed a reliable phone ASAP. Unreal Mobile was not working for me, as I could not receive calls or voicemails. I emailed Unreal Mobile again that this port out request was urgent.
June 7 - I also call Unreal. They say they never received any port out request and ask me to re-send.
June 16 - 1st 3-way call with Unreal/Xfinity. We confirmed Xfinity was submitting the port out request with the correct information (same information I submitted all along) and tried a few other port out attempts.
June 22 - I finally received an email back from Unreal. There was nothing new or helpful in the email. It took 18 days to respond to my initial port out issue, and the email provided me nothing, just information I had already confirmed on the phone and got from the portal 3 weeks ago. I realize that Unreal will never resolve this issue through email.
June 23 - 2nd 3-way call with Unreal/Xfinity. Unreal still has no update. Unreal support team asks me to re-submit the port out request again. I continue having Xfinity resubmit the port out request every week as usual.
June 30 - Unreal Hangs up on me, as we try to make the 3rd 3-way call. I had been hung up on before from Unreal, but I only decided to start documenting this starting June 30.
June 30 - 3rd 3-way call with Unreal/Xfinity. Xfinity continued to provide all information requested from them, including port out request IDs. Unreal still has no update.
July 7 - 4th 3-way call with Unreal/Xfinity. Xfinity continues submitting port out requests, and has been every week as Unreal requested. Unreal has Xfinity try different SPIDs, NNIDs, Zip codes, and addresses. Xfinity submits the port out requests and receives a proper port response every time. Xfinity can provide the port out ID, port response ID, error information, etc. Xfinity side/backend is working properly. However, Unreal continues to say they never received any request. Unreal first emails their 3rd party port provider Inteliquent on July 7.
July 14 - 5th 3-way call with Unreal/Xfinity. Unreal has no update. Xfinity asked me to try porting out to Google Voice as a possible medium. However, numbers with Unreal Mobile cannot be ported to Google Voice.
July 21 - 6th 3-way call with Unreal/Xfinity. Unreal still has no update from 3rd party port provider Inteliquent.
July 28 - I call Unreal asking for an update. Unreal still has no update from 3rd party port provider Inteliquent.
July 28 - I get an email from freedompop saying they are still waiting for an update from 3rd party port provider Inteliquent.
August 4 - 7th 3-way call with Unreal/Xfinity. Unreal confirms Xfinity has provided and submitted all information correctly again (this happens almost every phone call). I request to review my emails/calls with Unreal, and the Unreal agent hangs up on me. Unreal still has no update from 3rd party port provider Inteliquent.
August 4 - I get an email from freedompop saying they are still waiting for an update.
August 5 - An Unreal Agent tells me that their system is set up to randomly hang up on people (me). He says if there are more calls, my call may be immediately hung up on without any warning. I actually believe this could be true, since they have hung up at the start of calls, after 1+ hours on the phone, and even while they put me on long holds. This random hang up system is terrible, and has wasted so much of my time.
Note: Unreal Mobile and Freedompop are sister companies. The issue seems to be temporarily passed to a freedompop.com person sometimes.
I have probably wasted 40+ hours on the phone over the past 2+ months trying to port out my number. As I emailed on June 7, this port out request is urgent and I want to leave Unreal as soon as possible...
Response from UNREAL MobileAug 12, 2020
Hi Ethan, we're sorry to hear your port-out has taken longer than expected, this is not a common experience and we would like to follow-up with you to ensure this is resolved as soon as possible. Also, while our previous SIM cards did require you to use an app, this is no longer the case with our new Premium SIM cards!

If I could give 0 star
If I could give 0 star, I would. This is the worst mobile phone company ever. I bought the SIM card prepaid for 3 months from unrealmobile itself. Got the SIM card. Activated it. Ported in my number. No phone service since the old carrier terminated my service as soon as the porting was initiated. Have been on chat with unrealmobile for the past 2 days. Their answer "as soon as agent receive the update from our developer team agent will get back to you by email". They couldn't tell me what the problem was. Just tell me to wait for it to be resolved. In the mean time, I have no phone service at all.
Response from UNREAL MobileJul 27, 2020
Hi Bon, this is certainly not the experience we aim to deliver our customers, we apologize if this has been the case for you. Please reply to our private message so we can follow-up on your incident.
