Extremely Poor Performace From The Apollo S40

Even for an cheap entry level soundbar this Apollo S40 has extremely poor performance that my 75" TCL QM8K TV speakers blow this soundbar out of the water. I'm not sure if it's because my TV is a brand new higher end 2025 model or maybe TV speaker technology has gotten a lot better that my TV speakers have way better sound than the Apollo S40 soundbar. Maybe if your TV is a much older model then the S40 would be an improvement. The Apollo S40 is technically a 2.2 system since it has 2 "subwoofers" and 2 drivers and it says it outputs 100 watts. I'm not sure where to begin with it's poor performance. Even at max volume of 100 this soundbar doesn't get very loud, and any volume under 60 is so quiet that there's absolutely no depth to any sound. Everything that comes out of the speaker is very flat and the sound has no life to it. Don't expect even minimal bass from the 2 so-called "subwoofers". Those speakers shouldn't even be in there since it doesn't accomplish anything. Instead it would be better to add 2 all around drivers for a total of 4 all around drivers because I think that would greatly improve the sound and voice clarity. At least the set up was super easy and it comes with all the cables and mounting brackets you need. The app is also very easy to use and "fine tune" the soundbar. I do like how you can separate the speakers into standing speakers or wall mount them if you choose. Spend $20-$30 more and get their Poseidon M60 soundbar which is a fantastic 5.1 Dolby Atmos soundbar. That soundbar is amazing for the price. I bought one and was very impressed with the excellent sound quality that I bought another one for my TCL.

Impressive Dolby Atmos on a Budget
I recently purchased the Ultimea Poseidon M60 5.1 soundbar, and it's been a game-changer for my home setup! The sound is incredibly immersive with Dolby Atmos support – explosions in movies feel powerful, dialogue is crystal clear (no more straining to hear actors), and the bass from the wireless subwoofer really thumps without overwhelming the room.Setup was super easy: just connect via HDMI eARC, and it paired seamlessly with my TV. The app control is a nice bonus for fine-tuning EQ settings, and the different modes (Movie, Music, Game) make it versatile for everything I watch or play. For the price, this delivers way more than I expected – far better than my old TV speakers or even some pricier brands I've tried. Highly recommend for anyone wanting cinematic sound on a budget!
