Great customer service and very good Portable A/C
I concur with other reviewers in that this company provides EXCELLENT customer service!! they are very responsive and, unlike many other businesses, there was not a long wait time when I called for assistance, nor do you have to wade through any irrelevant AI interactions to reach a real person! I had only a couple of very minor issues with my newly purchased (May 2023) portable A/C unit that were very easily resolved. The unit, model Greenland GLP10AC-Smart, also does a great job cooling our upstairs bedroom. However, only time will tell how well this unit holds up; I have had 3 other portable A/C units (all different brands) that lasted only 1-2 years before breaking down, so now I always purchase an extended warranty. Anyway, I have to further praise Turbro for attention to detail with accessories and supplies that come with the unit, such as a drainage hose, weather stripping, and an easy to understand user's manual, for example. The window kit was also very easy to install. The only issue to be aware of is that the "self-evaporating" function cannot drain the internal tank when run for several hours in high humidity conditions, so you will need to set up a continuous drainage system into a large bucket (or a wall portal to the outdoors), using the drainage hose supplied. Otherwise, the unit will shut down when the tank is full and you will have to manually drain it from one of the ports. Although this can be inconvenient, I have to say that the 3 other units I previously owned which had greater "self-evaporating" capacity, broke down and/or started leaking. So, if less self-evaporating capacity leads to a longer life of the A/C unit, the inconvenience of emptying a bucket will be well worth it!
