About Traveler's Joy

We're a small group of folks that started Traveler's Joy on a stoop in Brooklyn, NY in 2004. However, it all really started in 2003 with the serendipitous meeting of our founders at the first overnight hut of the Milford Track in New Zealand. Taking the company from a muddy hike on the South Island to the world's most popular honeymoon registry in a few short years required a lot of work. Luckily we have the best team in the world! Traveler's Joy continues to grow into a new decade and we're all very excited at what the future will bring. LOVED using Traveler's Joy
I will admit that I was hesitant to use a honeymoon registry, but I could not be more thrilled with Traveler's Joy. It was beyond easy to use, the variety of options for receiving the money are great, and at the end, Traveler's Joy provides you a detailed thank you list! My husband and I had a fantastic honeymoon that was almost 100% paid for! And, everyone commented on what a neat idea the honeymoon registry was and loved seeing all the cool things we were going to do on the honeymoon.

Loved the ease of use on this website
Loved the ease of use on this website! I linked it in my wedding website and my Facebook and was able to easily transfer our gifts to our bank account when we needed :) definitely would recommend to anyone looking to “register for honeymoons “ :)

Dear Gracie: Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry you did not have the best experience with Traveler's Joy. We mention the service fee throughout the Traveler's Joy site and within the first bullet point of our Terms of Use that couples agree to when signing up for Traveler's Joy. I'll speak to our team about how we can make it more apparent. In order for Traveler's Joy to pay its people a living wage, provide 24/7 customer service, and keep the lights running, we have to pass along the fees assessed to us by credit card companies. I understand your frustration and wish there was more I could do but the convenience of using a credit card has a % fee associated with it that we can't afford to cover and still operate. In addition, couples make the choice to whom fees are assessed and how the fee is divided, if at all. In 2015 we created a 100% free registry option whereby gift givers can choose to give a gift with cash or check and still mark items off the couple's registry. I'm sorry you were not aware of this option. I will talk to our UX team to determine how we can make this option easier to navigate for the couple and gift giver. I hope this explanation helps. Highly Recommended!
This was such a great way to ask for the gifts we really wanted for our wedding. My husband and I had already built up a good supply of home/kitchen goods, and didn't need many items on a traditional registry. We were so excited to find Traveler's Joy and be able to register for fun upgrades to our Honeymoon and future travels. Knowing that we are travelers at heart, our family and friends LOVED giving the Traveler's Joy gifts!

Site was very easy to navigate
The site was very easy to navigate. Very easy for family members and friends to purchase gifts. They had several options for redeeming gifts and that was very easy too. Would definitely recommend.

Could use a design upgrade
I loved Traveler's Joy! My only feedback is that the design of the landing pages could really use an upgrade to something a bit more modern and sleek.
