About Traveler's Joy

We're a small group of folks that started Traveler's Joy on a stoop in Brooklyn, NY in 2004. However, it all really started in 2003 with the serendipitous meeting of our founders at the first overnight hut of the Milford Track in New Zealand. Taking the company from a muddy hike on the South Island to the world's most popular honeymoon registry in a few short years required a lot of work. Luckily we have the best team in the world! Traveler's Joy continues to grow into a new decade and we're all very excited at what the future will bring. If you have any questions, suggestions, comments, or quotes (or just want to say "Hi!"), always feel free to contact us! You are the lifeblood of our business and the keeper of our hearts.

Wonderful service that I would recommend to anyone! We were 100% satisfied and loved this as an option for our wedding.

Traveler's Joy made it as easy as an ATM!
Traveler's Joy made it as easy as possible to securely raise funds for a honeymoon. I'm willing to bet we got way more funds this way than if we had only asked for checks more traditionally. Two (small) complaints: 1) The fees are a little steep 2) Because it's online and still kind of new, a lot of family members and friends had to be redirected several times to the website

I recommend travelers joy to every…
I recommend travelers joy to every couple getting married! My newly wed husband and I are in our early thirties and had (just about) everything we needed/wanted in our home. Travelers joy was a wonderful option to friends and family who wished to give gifts that would last us a lifetime (of memories) on our honeymoon. The site was easy to navigate, customize for our own travel wish-list, and easy to receive gift the monetary gifts from loved ones. 5/5 stars.

I had to remove my honeyfund and use…
I had to remove my honeyfund and use Venmo instead because the rate you guys charge was just way too much. Wouldn’t recommend at all

Dear Dana: Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you were not 100% satisfied with your Traveler's Joy honeymoon registry experience. We offer the option for wedding guests to give cash or a check at a later date and these gifts are 100% FREE. For gifts given using a credit card, 2.95% is deducted from the gift amount. The gift giver is also charged 2.95% + $0.99 on checkout. The couple can decide how to assess these fees (split between couple and gift giver, all gift giver, all couple, etc.) These fees cover processing the credit card (which can cost us up to 3%), hosting, features, and services of your registry, phone support five days a week, twenty-four hour email support, and support for your wedding guests who wish to purchase a gift for you over the phone. Finally, the fee also allows us to pay the people of Traveler's Joy a livable wage and keep the lights on and coffee flowing. This website made my life so much…
This website made my life so much easier!!!!! it was simple and easy for our guests to send us money and for me to deposit the money into my account. With the email notifications it also made it easy to keep up with which guests gave us what, which was nice for when we had to write our thank you cards. The only downside was a few of our family that gave us large sums of money were a little upset by the fees.

Traveler’s Joy was sooo convenient for…
Traveler’s Joy was sooo convenient for us and our wedding guests to use! My only qualm with it was that we would receive notes in the mail with peoples gifts after we had already gotten notified via email what it was- I just think it was unnecessary + wasteful and perhaps this could be dissolved and the fees could be less per each transaction? Overall, it is such a great concept and everyone loved it!
