About Traveler's Joy

We're a small group of folks that started Traveler's Joy on a stoop in Brooklyn, NY in 2004. However, it all really started in 2003 with the serendipitous meeting of our founders at the first overnight hut of the Milford Track in New Zealand. Taking the company from a muddy hike on the South Island to the world's most popular honeymoon registry in a few short years required a lot of work. Luckily we have the best team in the world! Traveler's Joy continues to grow into a new decade and we're all very excited at what the future will bring. Honestly I loved everything about this…
Honestly I loved everything about this site except for the percentage they take out of gifts you receive. I think it’s a little too expensive.

We heard about Travelers Joy from my…co-worker who attended a wedding with a Travelers Joy account!
We heard about Travelers Joy from my friend. We could’ve gone the normal route of wedding registries but we wanted something a little bit different. We enjoyed being able to use Travelers Joy for our honeymoon that our guests could “donate“ to instead of typical wedding gifts. It made everything so easy from planning, to determining costs and gave great ideas from other couples! We couldn’t of asked for more!

A GREAT way to ask for cash as a gift, without actually asking for cash!
We are older, and already have all the pots, pans, and dishes we need. I know people like to give a special gift, and "cold hard cash" just doesn't feel special. These gifts did help us go on our honeymoon, and helped with the cost of the wedding too. Our guests loved giving us a specific experience- they don't know it went into a single account as cash. We wrote our thank you cards to them thanking them for their specific gift, and how much we enjoyed that single experience. I sent photos to people of us at those specific locations. A great website, a GREAT way to ask for cash, without actually asking for cash!

Wasn't practical at all
Wasn't practical at all. Transfers took too long. Nothing about this process went smoothly. The idea is great but the delivery system could be a lot better.

Traveler's Joy - Perfect for Honeymooners!
I absolutely loved using Traveler's Joy! We organized our trip to Rome with this website and received all of our gifts from our family and friends. The prices start at 10 dollars which is amazing and extremely affordable! My favorite part of Traveler's Joy was that when a gift was purchased an adorable boarding pass was sent in the mail listing the gifts and the notes from those whose purchased it! I would recommend this to any couple because it was perfect for organizing our honeymoon!
