Discovered, after purchase, that sage was an ingredient in the sauce. I am allergic to sage and immediately sent an email to Tovala. Within a day I received the most gracious reply from Joanna, who gave me insight into how to view the ingredient list prior to ordering. Too, she gave me a meal credit on my next order. This kind of customer service is extremely important to me as I am "old school" and was brought up in an age where people actually cared about one another. Tovala seems to care very much about their customer and it shows with their prompt resolution(s).

We've been using the meal service for over 2 years now. We have tried a handful of solutions like Factor and Hello Fresh, but found ourselves bored after a couple of months. Their menu has been good for our household since we like different things and can order what we each want. It's definitely the easiest one we've found overall. The prep is pretty simple like adding a sauce or seasoning and then it goes in the oven. These have become our go-to for weekday lunches and most dinners. We also use the oven for a lot more than just their meals, it probably gets used more than our range. Highly recommend.

The Tovala meals are perfect for when I don't have time to cook and they taste home-cooked. I use my Tovala oven at least 2x a day even if I'm not eating the meals. It's great for cooking, baking, reheating. The recipes in the app are nice and I love that it turns off automatically when it's done cooking.

I love this product! The oven is amazing and the meals are too. I purchased this to teach my adult autistic son some independence in the kitchen. The smart oven is amazing with this. The foods they offer are so simple. You just follow the one or 2 step prep instructions then scan the QR code and the oven does the rest. He has enjoyed all of the meals and has been helpful in trying new food combinations too. Most autistic people have a very basic palette when it comes to food. So this has been very nice getting him to try different flavors. We have met our food order obligation and we plan to continue ordering. We are happy!

Deceptive pricing. Most meal offerings have a hefty "buy-up" if you order anything other than vegetarian or chicken-based meals. Portions are small, much smaller than other meal services. Red meats or fish will cost you $3-$5 more. Customer service chat is often unresponsive.
