I told my account manager not to renew me because I'm selling my company. He did it anyway and now they are hounding me to pay for the next 2 years for a business I no longer own. When we visit on the phone they say to file out of business and the new owner can take up the payments. He does not want to advertise with them. It shouldn't have been renewed. Every call is recorded but they refuse to go back and listen to me telling the rep not to renew me. This company is a scam. The help will scam you and nothing you can do about it. 100 percent stay away from Thryv and The Real Yellow Pages.

FINAL EDIT 8/31: Thryv reached out to me to settle this issue. We reached a resolution that was acceptable and I appreciate what Thryv did to make this right. I'm updating my score to 3/5 to acknowledge the positive ending to this experience. To start: The website that Thryv created and maintained for us was fine. Nothing special, but it did its job. Our issues came from unannounced billing changes and a "processing period" for our cancellation. Billing terms were recently changed from net 30 to same day. We were billed twice in July and I had to call customer service twice to get an explanation. No one in our office was able to find a notification or update email informing us of the changes. When trying to cancel our account we were informed that there is a 29 day "processing period" for the cancellation. It's an obvious cash grab to get another month's payment. This processing period isn't visible on their FAQ which says "After the initial Subscription Period, you can cancel AT ANY TIME" (emphasis added) When I talked to customer service they informed me that the FAQ references the Australian terms and conditions, not even the US ones! It's 2026 - you should be able to identify my country from my IP address and provide the appropriate FAQs if you have different rules for different countries. I'm hoping that I won't be one of the many people who continue to get billed after their cancellation. Feel free to look at BBB reviews for those stories. I hired this company to build my new site and all I have found myself doing is building my site by myself. They are absolutely the worst in customer service. They started off really strong and after firing the one person I trusted to help me build my site (Brian Sweeny). It has been over a month and I still have not had anyone contact me to continue building it. Do not use this company unless you have the time to only get guidance and that is if you get it. Their entire goal is to have you sign up to charge you fees....That is a shame

If I can rate them no stars I would. Had a terrible terrible experience. Worst business I ever dealt with. A bunch of liars who have absolutely no clue what they were doing. I paid them thousands of dollars over the course of a few months, and they provided me absolute garbage. We ended up dictating changes over the phone to their team in the Philippines, cuz what their "design specialists" kept giving us was completely atrocious. And even then, I could have done a better job with Lovable or Replit. And their ad and post copy looked like generic AI slop, despite our repeated and specific instructions to improve it. Needless to say, they did not get me a single qualified lead the whole time. NOT ONE LEAD! After a few months they finally arranged a meeting with someone there who actually seemed like he knew what he was doing, and he was like, "Oh, this was a mistake. They should have never taken your case. We do small local businesses, not remote staffing companies." So I'm like, so can you refund me please? And he said yeah sure. And of course they never did. This is besides the fact that we had to get down on our hands and knees and beg them to cancel our subscription. We tried emailing to all our contacts there and they simply flat out ignored us. Then we tried calling the billing department a bunch of times and after waiting on hold forever got disconnected. Happened a bunch of times. Hard to believe that it was a mistake every time. The BBB should shut this place down. Can't believe they are still in business. Update 8/20/2026: For the record, despite me providing them with my contact info as per their message below, they have not reached out to me. Of course. A bunch of scammers.

If I could make it 0 I would. I signed up to Keap (now Thryv) with the intention of it being my lead management tool. I no longer have need for the tool, never ended up using it and have been trying to cancel. I wasnt able to do it via the online portal, the help section walks through a series of steps that do not apply with my configuration. I then called their Australian contact number (that is where I am based). They couldnt cancel they could only give me the contact for the US number I needed to call to cancel. It being the middle of the night I wasnt able to do that. I then found a way via Thryv's website to lodge a request to cancel. They then submit the request to a "Customer SUccess Manager". I made it clear before they did this I had zero interest in any discounts etc I just wanted to cancel. Still the customer sucess manager reaches out by email to me with a link to book a time, the majority of which are time slots in the middle of the night! I am now having to wait for a call on Saturday morning my time at 7:30am so I can tell this person what I have already requested online. Terrible customer service. I have no idea as to the product's quality as I haven't used it and no longer have need for it.

They have false advertising and waste your time. They advertised they would post my business everywhere on line. It was a total switch and bait. After giving them two hours of my time they finally told the truth. They want to build your website. As a perk they will get your business listed but you have to pay them website prices. They only build it once and charge you forever. Update: Either post that you just want to build a website for your clients and don't suggest you will do backlinking and SEO or actually offer the service you advertise (I responded to an advertisement stating you would list my business everywhere on the Internet, which is not a standalone service that you even offer). I was exaggerating about them charging you forever. Apparently it isn't a joke. I am glad I read reviews before I signed up! It makes no sense that the reviews are all fishing about how amazing they are our how they to people off. Just saying.
