I placed an international order (Canada) a few weeks ago for 3 unisex sweatshirts and 2 men's t-shirts. I just received it, and I'm pretty disappointed in the sizing for sweatshirts. I ordered three sweatshirts in the unisex XXL size since I assumed it would be larger sized & extra comfy vs. women's sizing (I'm a girl) and I usually wear an XL/XXL women's, but it was very tight and not a very comfortable fit. (Edit: I even checked the size chart for shirts I wear regularly vs. the threadless size chart and the sweatshirt size was over 2 inches larger, supposedly, but nearly impossible to wear) My boyfriend (who wears men's Large) tried a sweatshirt and found it fit him, but fairly tight not in a comfortable or loose way a sweatshirt normally would, and it's two sizes larger than what he usually wears! He found it was weird fabric as well, does not feel comfortable like you'd expect a sweatshirt would. It's advertised on the website as "French Terry Crew Sweatshirt" and it did not feel or look like a regular french terry crew sweatshirt, almost a "plastic", cheap feel. I also compared the men's t-shirt XXL sizing to the unisex sweatshirt XXL and although the website shows the same sizing for each, comparing in person there's a clear inch in width and 2 inches in length on the t-shirt versus the sweatshirt. Not only that, but the mens 2XL shirts I ordered are made with a very non-stretchy, cheap feeling material and although they fit they are disappointing to wear, not comfy at all. Just thin, cheap feeling material. My first order with Threadless after following my favourite designs for a while, finally being able to buy some & ship to Canada, and I'm incredibly unhappy. I would have expected the sizing/quality issues from a cheap website selling ripped off designs of people's artwork, but not you guys & with your reputation. I can see from the reviews here however the quality is getting worse and worse, unfortunately. After reading reviews about the Happiness Guarantee being misleading and not meaning a return or refund is allowed, I'm now concerned I wasted about 140$ CAD on this..

I wish I'd looked here before I shopped. Their shipping costs are ridiculous but I'm relatively used to that since Canada is apparently on the moon when shipping from the US, but that was only the beginning... Next came the customs charges, and of COURSE they split the packages up so that you get to pay multiple times. On top of that one of the shirts looks like it was loaded into the printer by a child; the fabric must have scrunched up and folded on itself so that the printing process got messed up, AND THEY SHIPPED IT ANYWAY!

I ordered originally based on the good reviews of past threadless customers, but I also ignored their warnings of declining quality over recent years. Nonetheless, I ordered 4 hoodies from them and a sweat shirt. The hoodies were completely unwearable after a normal cold water wash due to the amount of lint produced. I even bought a lint brush to try and remedy the situation, but there was too much lint to remove; an extra $10 brush spent and wasted. Not to mention I had to pay customs to have them shipped here to Canada because I wanted so badly to risk it and give them a chance...$100 down the drain

Made a bulk order but items have so far been delivered in a piecemeal fashion. First, was a t-shirt, which was as described. However, just got back from the post office to pick up a second item - a towel - which incurred a 2 CAD customs charge and 10 CAD handling fee. Item is appallingly bad. Just about the worst towel I have ever seen. Horrible thin material, fraying pattern, literally nothing good about it all. Amazed it made off the production line, amazed anyone would charge for it. Pi$$ed that a further CAD 12 had to be paid for this sorry item. Am awaiting further items. Am worried now. Are they all going to arrive individually? Am I going to have to pay CAD 10 plus customs to release each one from the post office. How many of them are actually going to be as described?

Threadless is my go to for hubby's b'day. Half a dozen amazing t-shirts to add to his collection and wham! I'm done with gift shopping. This years addition has just arrived (Australia) and I'm so disappointed. The shirt quality feels terrible and the prints are faded and stripy. The is not on par with my expectations. This is likely to be last threadless purchase and possibly a message that I should be looking locally at any rate. Sorry hunny but your getting an average birthday gift this year.......

I used to live in Threadless tees back in college, but my first order in a few years is probably going to be my last due to the quality changes. I have a pretty sizable collection of threadless tees, but stopped buying so many a few years into "real" adulthood, as I had less opportunity to wear t-shirts and was kind of disappointed that the majority of the chosen designs were only by men. That being said, I still bought from them for gifts, since their shirts were high quality and creative. The last batch I got 2-3 years ago was the same great shirts I remembered. As I've been wearing more tees and have tried out some of those 24 hours only shirt sites, I decided to explore threadless again. As opposed to the vibrant, crisp screenprinting that my worn, well loved, 10 year old threadless shirts still have, the print quality on my new shirt is terrible. The colors are duller, probably because you can literally see the dot-matrix from the attempt at color mixing on the computer print-out iron on stuff they're now using. There's also subtle but very annoying white-haloing around the color edges of the print, like they printed the design in white then went over it with color- it looks cheap and amateurish. The print also has vague vertical lines running through it, but it's hard to tell if it's from the poor printing or it being ironed so hard into the shirt. And while I get from their website that the new printing process can cause design holes on full shirt prints around the color and armpits, my center-of-the-chest, nowhere-near-those-areas design had several nicks in different spots with paint missing. Even the mediocre screen prints I've gotten from other sites are preferable to this. Not to mention the shirt bled during hand washing, a sign of poor shirt quality. Look, I get that threadless is trying to keep up with the times and other sites and stay competitive, and doing print-on-demand rather than limited run batches probably is a part of that. But for me, quality trumps convenience- I'm not going to pay premium shirt prices for terrible quality prints just because the design is nice when I can keep an eye on the limited run sites and get a great quality print in a slightly less cool design for half that.

Man, I was really hoping their prints were getting better. I've bought shirts from threadless in the past. Some of them are holding up nicely, they stopped doing their signature blue inseam.... that's when I noticed the shirts were different and that they had to be outsourcing prints to different companies. I gave them another shot and tried their sublimation tees. As I knew the print wasn't going to be perfect because of the process, I didn't think they would be complete prints on white shirts... The under part of the sleeve looks horrible... I guess the fabric folded over and the print wasn't applied in that area. I feel like this could have been avoided on some of the simpler prints, like the constellation pattern shirt I bought in this batch. Just seems like white ink could have been applied to a blue shirt... I'm really disappointed. My boyfriend sent me photos... I haven't been able to judge them for myself but he says the material is uncomfortable and seems like a nurse's smock... I'm very scared to go home and see them. I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep the shirts despite the print issues. If not, I guess I'll be sending these back and just forgetting Threadless exists.

Like so many other 1 star reviews, I have tshirts from Threadless dating back to 2010 that I still wear. But this latest batch I purchased - wow, what happened Threadless??? The cotton is super thin, and the prints are horrible. I'm afraid after 4-5 washes these shirts are going to be downgraded to dust rags. Here's what I wish Threadless would do: offer higher quality tees for a higher price. Use a brand we know, like American Apparel. But that will probably never happen.
